in The neat thing about blogging design… on Scobleizer
I always thought you'd do well with a design similar to www.yoast.com, you've got the personality to carry it....let's face it though, a vast majority of us come here for the content so the design is of little consequence, as long as it's not too distracting or that it makes the content hard to read.

in Internode to offer 100 Mbps Fibre to the Home !! Makes NBN look like a joke. on techAU
Wow! That's pretty awesome, and considering I don't think the NBN is coming any time soon this might actually be a pretty decent option for those of us who want / need the speed.
The 100mbps / 5 mbps with the 100gb is about what I pay now for Foxtel and my broadband, bearing that in mind if we had some decent online television 'hulu' type service in Australia my mind would be made up instantly...assuming it becomes available here in Newcastle.
Thanks for the info Jason.
Cheers

in Prosciutto Wrapped Scallops recipe on Mathew Packer
Hey Mike
I don't think I could've said it better myself, anything wrapped in prosciutto is awesome in my book....and bacon to a lesser extent.

in Chicken & Vegetable Lasagna Recipe on Mathew Packer
That's a fair bit of tweaking the recipe Nicole, I'm pretty keen on the addition of sweet red peppers to the vegetable mix....maybe even roasted peppers. Might have to write that in to the recipe.
Thanks for the suggestion!

Apparently the CBA and NAB have just announced that they too will pass the full 1% interest rate cut on to their clients.

in We’ll all be rooned, said Kevin Rudd on duncanriley.com
If the Liberal Party could get their act together a little more the next election would be a no contest based on how the ALP is performing at this point in time. Typical government response though, 'throw money at the problem till it goes away' rather than actually working out the problem properly, I guess a big portion of the world's governments are in the same position.

Nah, English Staffordshire Terrier.. Pitbulls are illegal in Australia, or at least classified as prohibited pets in the area where I live.

in YouTube Users vs Warner Music Group on Mathew Packer
I tend to think it goes both ways John, I'm not sure it's quite as black and white as I think you might be suggesting in your comment...or as black and white as a lot of people on YouTube are suggesting.
Of course everyone has the right to protect their intellectual property if they choose to, and of course companies definitely want to protect their income sources, but I think there needs to be a middle ground where companies are still protected but the average 'youtuber' can use music in their videos (as an example). Cue Creative Commons licensing.
I've noticed a lot more artists are licensing different versions of their commercially available music, videos, photos, website designs, etc. under various CC licenses. The only problem currently is weeding out the junk CC from the great CC, also I think the average persons knowledge of how Creative Commons works and how they can and cannot use CC licensed content is lacking.
Hopefully with the continued efforts of people like Jo Ito, Creative Commons knowledge will become a lot more mainstream.
Thank you for your comment John, much appreciated.
