You're absolutely right. Twitter is all about the instant. Even if I use it to share links, I try to post the most interesting ones to my blog with a relevant comment.
Quite funny, Robert Scoble posted an article "If you are laid off, here’s how to socially network[1]" about how to use your blog as a resume to find a new job. Twitter is clearly not the right place for that.

in What is the frustration-cost of Windows? on Tech IT Easy
Hi Vincent,
I totally understand your frustration and I went through this tons of time.
This is exactly what make me switch to a Mac, I simply couldn't afford to spend so many time fixing my computer (and friend's one).
The thing is, the world of PC has become too complex; too many different components and too many companies and no one "owning" the device.
The openness of the PC was its strength but it's now it major flaw — and it's totally out of control.

in Interesting on Climb to the StarsI've noticed the same thing. When I'm this situation I try to keep me active by commenting on other's blogs. Generally it helps to get out of the write block.

in My Google Shared items feed is my output on A Frog in the Valley
Hi Sylvain,
That's funny because I've just reborned a "linklog" on my blog (I'm not using Google Reader) for the exact same reasons.
I don't always have the time to write a deep article on the stuff I read, but I have enough time to quote and link.
Like you, I think it's better to share those on your own blog instead of doing it through an external service where it get lost.
See you.

Hi Cecil,
Thanks for the nice words, very appreciated. :)
The webapp shows only a small part of our technology. I'm also working on a full desktop version that would allow you to create more interesting movies. My vision is: GarageBand for Movies.
@jeremy — the startup ecosystem is quite young but very active. We have a lots of conferences like Barcamp, StartupcampMontreal or Yulbiz.
I was at the premiere of StartupcampMontreal last week and it was great. Lots of interesting startup and VC. Some of the startups there also demoed at DEMO.

in Yahoo Should Buy Twitter- Yes or No on Chris Brogan
Twitter is lucky — even with all its outage, it is still loved by its community — but its too bad to have it down during events like DEMO. Having conversations with people back there is amazing.
I don't know exactly what's their problem with their infrastructure but they definitely need help.
If they need money, why don't they request donations? I'll be happy to give them some bucks.

in Bloggers: Are You Ready For Writer’s Block? on Instigator Blog
Thanks Ben for links, very good advices.
I've been experiencing writer's block several time, probably because I focus too much on "deep" posts instead of informative posts. Unfortunately, this kind of post requires a lot of energy of analysis; sometime the task is just too big and I end up procrastinating.
I should break my thoughts and post small but more often. :)

in So you wanna be a Management Star – Introducing Scott Berkun on Tech IT Easy
Thanks Cecil for pointing out these articles. That's very interesting reading.
Management is harder than we imagine especially because you'll have to deal with the human nature while keeping a team together.
Most people are really not prepared.

in Moving to San Francisco on Instigator Blog
I've never met Loic but I do like its entrepreneurship spirit, something French people hate and I guess he left France for that.
The number of hate comments he received on his blog when he announced he was about to leave was just disgusting and unacceptable.
That's also a part of why I left and I wanted meet more creative and willing people. In that regard, the Valley is an heaven, so much gatherings, so many conferences, so many pationate people.
Anyway, being in Montreal is already a big step! :)

Ben, I believed you and though you were actually leaving... and I was not that surprised.
The Valley looks so great from the outside. One of our famous blogger in France (Loic le Meur) is going to move there; he tried hard to build a strong startup community in France but the voice of sirens were obviously too strong.
Like you, I believe we can succeed outside the valley but this it is a very hard work and it looks so easy in the Valley that it's sometime frustrating.

in What’s The Cornerstone of Any Great Relationship? on Instigator Blog
You're right about the trust you have in your friends is different from the one you need in business.
I had hard experiments working with friends. Because of this friendship they were lacking commitments and I end up being very disappointed.
It's not easy to find the people with the will and discipline to start a business with you.
I'm glad you found out. :)

in Killer Vista app demoed on Scobleizer
I have to admit that the application looks great, it slides and fades smoothly, but I'm a bit dissapointed that it also looks so Mac-ish! Is it really the only thing Vista developers will produce? A copy of Apple and Mac apps?
