in 2009/01/08/fox-news-fair-use/ on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
The headline and article would seem to indicate that Fox News, the cable news channel, and WFLD-TV in Chicago are the same organization. They may both belong to News Corp. but they have neither the same management team nor the same structure.

If you are so eager to find a reason to attack Fox News, try and make sure it is actually something that they did.

in What if… on LOL: Life of Leo
I had thought about in those terms until I read what Leo wrote above. What Apple should have done was have the update software check the hardware; if it had been modified, they could then refuse to update it aka "choose not to do any further business with me ." Instead, they chose to kill the cow.

I had been seriously planning to buy an iPhone after my Sprint contract ran out next year. Now I am thinking I will wait at least until the AT&T agreement runs out in 2012.

in Why Apple doesn’t need Universal Music on last100
Universal has had a false sense of entitlement ever since last fall when Microsoft agreed to pay them One dollar per Zune. My bet is they are still hoping for a similar offer from Apple. When they don't get it, their bluff will be called and they will fall back in line.

in Second Life +is+ an OS on Scobleizer
I spent some time playing in Second Life this weekend after watching the on10 story. The most negative thing so far: The vast empty areas where hardly anyone was around. I went by Ten Island and SlackStreet more than once and no one was ever around - the silence was deafening. If SL is going to become an OS, it needs a lot more network effect.
