I wonder if that is beet juice. I've heard it makes a great deicing agent.

Why don't they just use braille? It wouldn't be hard to magnetically lift small ball barrings up and down to indicate the time. That would be much faster to read.

Not a bad idea! I've though for a long time now that they should integrate communication between cars and signals. I've often though they should use a system to analyze traffic patterns in real time and adjust speed limits and signal times maximize flow. Maybe they could even link in with people who have navigation systems and offer an opt-in diversion to better improve flow. There is a great deal we could do to improve traffic besides building better roads. It just costs money but I bet with big enough savings a small tax could be implemented to pay for it.

The glossy black enamel is a bad idea. It'll get scratched up way to easy. I'd consider buying something like that with out the enamel and if it was $250-$300.

You could try running a scandisk by booting up off the XP cd. The drive might have errors, don't know if you did a full format but it is normally a good idea with laptops just to be sure.

Does the laptop crash randomly after some time of use or does it happen right away? Does the bios allow you to adjust the fan speeds manually? What are you doing when it crashes?
Need more info but my first guess is a heat issue, one of the fans might be dead or blocked.

It doesn't look like Toshiba made an XP driver for that PC. http://www.laptops-drivers.com/ might have a hacked one.

Toys now days are crap. They are so rigid and structured. Boxes and blocks and toy swords are the way to go, not robots or belt-controls panels.

I seem to remember something like this on our Apple 2 GS.

It's Sony anyway, they are evil still.

It'll be really expensive but might be cool skylights. During the day you get sunlight and at night you get OLED glow.

Wish they had smaller versions you could buy for outside your home. They are a bit ugly though. Maybe if they were textured?
