Manu was the first man after all, wasn't he? In essence, sabke baap.

Until next time, let's repeat history?

Shouldn' that be 'Playing God' instead of 'Playing favorites'? :-) Nice post.

You succeed in surprising every single time!! I was thinking...openess is one thing, exhibitionism apart, is it really necessary to blog about this....and then I came upon the trademark 'Until next time..' line.

Good one, again! :-)

LOL...we have taken to remembering that we now have our own money to spend in whatever way we want. And we use it to buy useless funny stuff just to remind ourselves that we can enjoy our old age as much as these kids enjoy their youth!

Brilliantly funny post, Sidin!

in A ‘what-if’ moment on The Idea-smithy
Gaurav: That sounds ideal but isn't that simple, is it? At least I don't think so.

Maya: That seems rather fatalistic or are you going by the 'we have already decided what we want out of life, what lessons we are to learn and how we will learn them' ideology? I believe that myself...even so, as the crucial decision point we weigh two or more (equal or unequal) options. Life is full of desicions, some that we have lesser control over than the others.

apoo: Doesn't stop us from wondering and hoping its right anyway, does it?

living in unreality: Anonymous no more...and no more wondering for you :)

gauravonomics: Do you really mean that? I know my mistakes taught me the most...but sometimes I think I could have lived without learning some of those things.

Manuscrypts:Yup, but this is a wysiwyg perspective not a metaphysical one.

Menagerie: Haven't seen it myself..but perhaps will if it provoked that thought in you.

Chakshu: Its been a really long time...where did you vanish to?

in Axioms on The Idea-smithy
Barbara: There is always the axiom of how you define 1 and 0 (discrete or continuous) but that's another argument altogether. Ditto on your thoughts about spiritual beliefs.

Evenstar: Glad to be of service :). And yes, having a face to associate with the name changes a lot of impressions, doesn't it? Actually it only heightened my impressions of you rather than altered them.

Blue Athena: Thenk yew!

Lovemarks: Boils down to the whole point-of-view discussion, doesn't it? This is just another way of expressing it. Thanks for dropping by!

in Hiding in the crowd on The Idea-smithy
anonymous: Since you didn't leave behind a name or a link, I'll make some assumptions. One, to be precise and it that you are male. If you were a woman, you'd understand why I've said all the above. In reply, what would you have me do? Beat up a guy towering a head above me? Slap a guy who very likely might toss acid into my face tomorrow? Make a fuss about it? Well...that's a solution. The question is how often? Do I have the energy to fight the auto driver, the bus conductor, my co-passanger who brushed against me, the roadside romeo who follows me, the paanwala who leches, the watchman who keeps his eyes fixed on my chest, the man in the shop who keeps leering at me? The answer is...no, I don't. If it sounds like whining drivel to you, well, you really have no idea what its like to actually experience it.

Hyde: Feel free to. I did!

Brad: I'm not.That is situational.He does. Hmmm?

Iyer: I love it! If you hadn't written it as a comment, I'd have stolen those for a post. Lets hear how it worked out in the real world :D

Nish: Consciously trying, lady. Those are damn fine words!
