This morning I hit that milestone, weighing less than 220 lbs for the first time in my adult life. I always mean to do these neat "make it yourself things", but I'm so lazy. I once made my own wrinkle-releaser from a spray bottle and some diluted fabric softener, and it worked just as well as the Downy Wrinkle Release. But now I'm too lazy to make a new bottle, and my wife won't let me buy the pre-made stuff because I COULD make a bottle. Ahhh!

Re: An easy, low cost way to get rid of dandruff

Head & Shoulders Intensive Care. I always start out with a bowl of high fiber cereal (the "Fiber One" with 56% of my daily fiber works well and is only 100 calories for a bowl WITH MILK), as this is good for me and takes the edge off of my morning hunger. I follow that up with a second breakfast about 3 hours later (usually a whole wheat English muffin with reduced sugar Raspberry preserves on it). This leaves me well over a thousand calories for lunch, dinner and snacks to stay on my safe 2-lbs-a-week goal. Lean Cuisine for lunch and dinner isn't easy on the wallet, but then I know exactly how many calories I'm eating and it's something tasty to look forward to.

Re: The BigRigg Challenge – Let’s Lose Some Weight!

While I'm too lazy for videos and the like, I wanted to thank you for posting your weight-loss progress since you started last year. Anyway, I came across WebEX and wasn't sure if the company had installed it or it was some other crazy thing like spyware (the name is rather bland and vague sounding). So I googled it and saw that it was not spyware, and was likely from the company. They would have just automatically pushed it back to me if I had removed it, but it's funny that you use it every day; at least funny to me.

Re: R.I.P. Just to make sure I have the correct one though, it's from 'Bring the Pain", right?

Anyway, I LOVE the Amazon MP3 store. It's not just because I never cared for iTunes (hate DRM, don't have an iPod, etc.), but I really like the Amazon MP3 store on its own merits.

I had just typed up a comment about how I haven't received any album art with any of the full albums I've downloaded from Amazon...but then it hit me that they might be stored directly in the MP3 file. (I've been using Foobar2000 to play my music at work lately, and I don't currently have it configured to display album art). So I opened it in Winamp, and sure enough, there's the album art embedded in each MP3 file. We try to program the VCR (we only have like 12 real channels of basic cable, so paying for a DVR seems like overkill for us) in advance when we know we're going to miss something, but that doesn't always work. Wouldn't the corporate owners of a TV show prefer that I download a single episode to keep up as opposed to just saying "I'm out of the loop, forget about that show this season"?

It was probably bad of me to download 'Tin Man' since I don't pay for the SciFi channel. "My two biggest moments in downloading TV shows have been with House, MD and Mystery Science Theater 3000. We found out about House with only 2 episodes left in the season. So in the week before the season finale aired, I grabbed the entire season up to those last two episodes. It was hard finding people sharing the older episodes (had to try some different P2P mediums) but I eventually got 'em all and we had quite a marathon that week. I did buy the season 1 DVD set when it came out (just to be a good boy). As for MST3K....well, I have every episode sitting on an extra 160GB hard drive in my PC. Haven't watched any of them in a long time, but I simply can't throw it all away after all that work and with all that awesomeness." Oh that crazy Mason.

@ jofusthaniel: I liked it a lot (although I have a married-man crush on Zoey Deschanel, so take my words with a grain of salt). I agree that it was too drawn out in parts and needed to be condensed. Even with stories I love, like Dune, I'd agree that the Sci-Fi channel needs work in that department.

Re: Twitter

I love Twitter, and I love the "In Plain English" commoncraft series. I DID NOT mean to recommend MDX! I know it's awfully convenient that I realize this AFTER you try Amp and like it, but I seriously was thinking of Amp when I mistakenly said MDX. MDX is an acquired taste (even after drinking it many times, I'm not that fond of it), but I liked Amp from my first sip. I've never tried the Energy Overdrive variety (mostly because I've been choosing sugar free when I've bought Amp lately) but now I'll have to give it a try.

I love the happy shots grouped with the sad shot. I'm glad you mentioned the "is now following you" problem, as that would be enough to detract me (not that I even have anybody to use this on anyway). I would love it if Twitter would develop an option for me to consolidate the tweets of certain people I follow and chose how often I get a summary tweet. Some guy who posts 80 things a day, maybe I just want to get a long tweet of them 3 or 4 times a day.

Re: The full-length trailer for M.

Re: Kansas Woman Sat on Boyfriend’s Toilet for 2 years

If I had a toilet as cool as the one pictured in your post, I'd consider sitting on it for 2 straight years myself.

Again, way to go.

Re: What's been going on

Love! That explains everything.

Also, just yesterday I was making fun of churches, malls, and suburbs with boring names like Northview, Northpoint, etc., so thanks for giving me a chuckle today (even though it wasn't your intent).

Re: The US Postal Service is very resourceful. People are always hating on the post office, but here in Iowa it's pretty good (and to the best of my recollection, it was decent in Minnesota too). I use the post office often, and they've yet to let me down.

And I'm so sorry, but I have to do this (don't hate me, it's because I think you deserve better):
http://how-to-spell-ridiculous.com/

Re: The US Postal Service is very resourceful. Your map/tracking is great proof that something is very wrong with the system. :)

Re: Minimum Purchase Required

I pay for everything with my Credit Card because then I can track my purchases and even my budget using sites like Mint.com. Plus, I get great rewards point on it, and that's undeniable extra cash in my hand every month or so. As long as you set up alerts on the card site to help you know exactly what your balance is (and be sure you don't charge money you don't have the cash to pay for), it's smart.
