Right now, the MU system isn't offering outpatient behavioral health/psychiatry services to new patients in community due to the wait list being too long. I was told when I called to discuss an appointment that the MU system isn't taking on any new outpatient behavioral health patients unless they are employees of the MU system or students. I hope a merger could make it possible for one of the largest and most innovative healthcare systems in the Midwest to offer behavioral healthcare to its community.
