Just saw the aftermath of tornadoes on the news. There was one guy still buried in the rubble of his house with a broken leg. Lucky to be alive in the debris on top of him. The people filming pulled him out.

Question on Family Feud, "When you turn on the faucet in Heaven, what comes out?" Both families were striking out and could only get 3/8 answers on the board. One of the weirdest wrong answers was "tears". Strangely, the number two answer after alcoholic beverages was "liquid gold" with 8 responses. What would you even do with that?

There used to be a conservative on here who went by jgrillo. He stopped talking to me when we had a disagreement over the percentage of republicans that are racist. He insisted it was less than 20%.

I'm a "loyal liberal" by the quiz. What I feel I am is a person whose politics are guided by reason. My positions are easily defended by logic and morality. Society calls me a leftist, but when the right wing attempts to defend their policies, they always resort to premises that are factually wrong and often already disproven in the public discourse or outright lies.

I was always tickled by the reference to David Hockney in The Sopranos. Tony is asking his girlfriend about a painting in her house, asking what it means to her. She says in a think Russian accent, "I don't know, I bought it because it reminds me of David Hockey."

That would be a mistake on Russia's part. Even if the US abandons their commitment, which is unlikely for economic reasons even if Trump wants to do that, NATO is not entirely toothless without us.

I'm not a high finance person. There's much I don't understand about that world. I feel like there is a lot of money out there that is not real. Stock values are made up. I can't figure out crypto. That's not legal tender at all.
