Lmao, you honestly believe that "Leader of the Free World," is wondering if his key initiative's website's backend databases have been scaled and tuned for 300M+ citizens? Do you really think that PBO reads "Oracle PL/SQL for Dummies," (hattip Shady) in expectation of healthcare.gov imploding?

The most obvious reason for the website failing is all of the "exceptions to the rules," for the states that are not synchronizing with the Affordable Care Act. The "RED States" and their detrimental marketplaces which produce an extra-added complexity with which any skilled programmer would suffer.

All of this talk about Amazon or Google being able to do a better job truly oversimplifies the challenge of implementing a website that will universally serve (and satisfy) every citizen of the United States of America. Lest we forget that the average price point of purchases on Amazon will ALWAYS be significantly less than the price point of insurance premiums. When you're dropping a few grand on life and death issues, you want your shyt to be correct. If YOU spend multiple thousands of dollars on Amazon, then you're likely not worried about your health insurance premiums.

So, I'm not mad about this issue. I ain't mad at the President. I hope that he's sleeping well at night, and he ain't got no worries. Because the infrastructure is in place to correct itself! Folks who couldn't get healthcare a year ago are gonna GET Healthcare eventually and at least within the next 5 months. Ain't no website or technical malfunction gonna obfuscate the fucking LAW of the LAND. Obamacare is the LAW of the LAND.

Watching people moan and groan about a website failure and being unable to appreciate that this is a temporary situation is understandable. Waiting a few months to get enrolled in a healthcare plan PALES in comparison to the achievement of getting healthcare which has taken more decades than I have been alive.

Perhaps, this collective meme of the blogosphere pissing on healthcare.gov will help contribute to future rollouts being more successful. To which I say, hooray--keep up the great work. Y'all can be mad @ PBO about the failure, I'm not. Hope that we can agree to disagree ;-)

Oh, this is clearly some hateration.

Fed_Up, what's really funny to me is how folks like Robert Gibbs and David Axelrod are on the same bandwagon that you are riding on right now. Clowning Health & Human Services--taking pot shots at Sebelius and daring to take jabs at the President.

At certain points during PBO's first term, I was hating on Gibbs and Axelrod for providing weak/lame-ass counsel to the President. Yes, I may have hated on his team members, but I have never hated on Brotha-President himself because that would go against my own personal constitution.

Many of us had a rough, economic ride during PBO's first term--some of us emerged from it stronger than ever. I am a disciple of Christ Jesus and my philosophy remains, "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger." They tried to kill Jesus more than 2,013 years ago...and yet, He LIVES.

If you all are perceiving that PBO is ignorant about the ongoings of his administration...if you're perceiving that he really doesn't G.A.F...my question to you is "what you gonna do???????????"

Not vote for PBO's re-election? OOOPs, he's done with Presidential Elections.

Gonna line-up with the Tea Party and try to Impeach him??? Shaking my head.

Just gonna bitch and moan about a website? IMHO, I'd rather talk about Boardwalk Empire's most epic episode yet--Ship to Zion. That episode was priceless.

So it's back in the 90z, I got the corsage, I got the Buick as a limo (w/o a chaffeur), I got the tux, and I got the one who I definitely know that I DON'T want to be the mother of my children as a prom date. Yet and still, after the prom and some Olive Garden and some Waffle House, we be sitting in my daddy's Buick and somehow or another her strapless dress comes down to her waist...and I don't have (for nostalgia sake) a rubber. W.T.F.

What do I do?!? I'm excited. I'm aroused. Do I give in? Do I get wet? Get my stick wet without protection?

By now, you should be able to tell that I didn't go to Exeter Academy, or any of those high schools that feed the Ivy League.

The answer is that I stopped. Even with the raging hormones, I stopped. My high school was a baby factory. Cheryl Pepsi "Thanks 4 my Child" Riley was a substitute teacher at my high school. Babies having babies--that's what it was.

Don't get it twisted--Like Adrian Peterson, I could've dropped some seeds in every high school in my county. But unlike Adrian Peterson, my conscience would not have allowed my seeds to go neglected. If my salary were in excess of $10M year, and a baby's mama boyfriend murdered one of MY SEVEN SEEDs, then the LEAST I could do is have $200K for one of best Hit Men East of the Mississippi to handle that m***th***cka...I digress.

Fed_Up, when people tell you that you'd make a good father--they are saying that you are responsible and thoughtful enough to raise great children which you are...as you age, it will become clearer...Being able to go out with friends or leave the country without having to find a 'sitter or paying out the ass for child care will become less and less important as you hit 30, 40, 50, 60, etc. That is Lord Willing that you hit tomorrow b/c everyday is a gift :-)

To be fair, Medicare Part D was aimed at a constituency of citizens (the elderly) that votes consistently. It's why Social Security is considered to be a "Third Rail" of politics--touch it and you're electorally fried.

The minorities and youth that will benefit from Obamacare without regard for their age is blasphemous to the Ted-Cruz types. It's the type of entitlement that when people start to benefit from it, then it will become a new "Third Rail" of politics.

And for all of the bitching and moaning about the Obamacare sites failing, folks really, really, REALLy need to chill the **ck out. Coverage will not be effective until 1/1/2014. We are in an open enrollment period. People will have until MARCH 1 to enroll. Peeps need to chill the f*ck out.

That's an interesting supposition that David Simon and HBO compromised themselves to "Whiten-up" Season 2 of The Wire. That is what you're saying, right?

I have given HBO a bunch of credit in the past for being on the cutting edge. But your statement does make me consider that there haven't been as many centrally-focused, African-American shows in current years. Nick Cannon was on Arsenio Hall's new show the other night and Cannon paid tribute to Arsenio. Cannon called Arsenio, "the curator of our culture," in the 90s. Mariah Carey's first national performance was on the Arsenio Hall Show in 1989.

I'm glad that Arsenio is back. The platform has been restored. Nas has shown up. Snoop has shown up. Kendrick Lamar has shown up. 2Chainz has shown up. Jill Scott has shown up. Ice Cube has shown up. And the ratings have been high:

Definitely got to give it to The Wire. The thematics of each season changed drastically, but were ultimately woven into a very cohesive unit by the series finale.

Breaking Bad is "aiight." I watched it. I understand why it is beloved. But I don't personally love it.

I'm not gonna oversimplify it or reduce President Obama to a Meyers-Briggs Assessment. The first, African-American President of the United States won re-election. Period. Critiquing his style at this stage of the game is a moot argument.

The President said that he's not gonna negotiate over the "Debt Ceiling." I saw an excerpt of his speech to the CBC and the style (and vigor) with which he delivered the speech intoned that HE WAS NOT GONNA NEGOTIATE WITH THESE TEA-PARTY "TERRORISTS."

But, he may very well choose to do it ;-) That's why I cannot allow myself to become too invested in the political bullsh*t anymore. I'm gonna stockpile my nutts like any smart squirrel would do and keep my Glock close at hand. Just kidding, right ;-)

I agree; Season-1-Claire was much, much better than Season-2-Claire. Emmys do have a lag factor that may have screwed poor Kerry out of a trophy.

But congrats to Breaking Bad for Best Drama--Yes, I still think it's partially hokey due to the setting, but I can relate to the universality of Walter White--I'm #TeamWalt! All the way!!! And thanks to Shady, GC, and TheJanitor for up-selling Breaking Bad--watching 54 episodes over two weeks was quite an odyssey.

It's deep that the show is being considered as a study in morality. As a thirty-something, I can appreciate the morality tale. But I feel bad for the teens and early twenty-somethings who are absorbing Walter's ethics and Jesse's mindset at this stage in their lives.

My generation was influenced by shows like "Star Trek:The Next Generation" where you had concepts like the Prime Directive (don't share technology with primitive civilizations until they demonstrate the attributes necessary to harness it). Speaking of which, It was great seeing Star Trek TNG's Q aka John De Lancie in Breaking Bad.

Confession: Breaking Bad really got good when Giancarlo Esposito (from Spike Lee's School Daze) appeared in the series. I know that brotha doesn't attach himself to some crap. ;-) I'll keep watching.

Thanks GC, the "Hokey-ness" of that first episode and the setting of Albuquerque were real turnoffs, but I am now on the third season and appreciate the show for being like the film, "No Country for Old Men," in a television series. The show is suspenseful. Is the show epic? Hmmmmm, I still rank Boardwalk Empire as #1--I like seeing people who look like me on TV--I'm BIASED. Tonight's episode introducing Jeffrey's Wright's "Dr. Narcisse" character was priceless--I could relate to it.

When I complete the Breaking Bad marathon, I'll turn my attention to SCANDAL. Watching Netflix at $7.99 per month is saving a brotha some serious dough, LMBAO. Typically, I'd be making it RAIN like Lil'Wayne somewhere, but I chilled at the crib this weekend.

I tried to watch the first episode of "Breaking Bad" on Netflix, but just can't seem to get into it--you folks really love it, so I'm gonna give it another shot.

Scandal is on Netflix too...sometimes I feel like I'm the only African American in my peer group that has not watched that show, lol.

But I did watch the return of Arsenio Hall this evening. In spite of a few weak opening skits, I'm glad that he's back. In spite of the relatively short length of his first run during the 90s, his show was an important institution that laid the foundation for New Jack Swing--i'm biased: that was the music of my youth and quite honestly, the music has never been the same.

His first guests were Chris Tucker and Snoop Dogg. Arsenio's interview skills are undiminished. I'm biased--I would love to see a New Jack Renaissance.

Having read the post and comments...and the polls, it's clear that there is a strong sentiment to Stay-the-f*ck-out of Syria.

Yes, I agree that intervening in Syria and Kosovo while NOT intervening in Rwanda, Darfur or Sierra Leone suggests that a higher precedence has been placed on Syria due to socio-economic reasons (Oil,Israel) and daresay, RACE.

But I'll also say this (and I know we have attorneys on this blog), "contracts" should matter. The century-old prohibition against chemical weapons should matter. Syria BREACHED the contract.

When mofos dare to breach a contract with me, I'm unashamed to say it--I go for their throats.

It was Hitler who declared the Versailles Treaty just a "scrap of paper." The world was complacent and six millions jews ultimately perished.

When I voted for this President, I voted for him to have the "keys to the kingdom." I entrusted him with preserving and protecting this nation. The calculus behind determining what is an imminent threat to US National Security, particularly in the tinder box that is the Middle East shouldn't be reduced to 1,400 Syrians dead from Sarin Gas--It's all about the trajectory--the arc of Justice and the efficacy of deterence for Iran, et. al.

Ideally, I would like to see the President rally the international community--no more unilateralism. But if the UN doesn't align and Congress can't commit, then the President needs to use that one, clandestine instrument at his disposal to make shyt happen--the CIA. DO IT PBO. DO IT!

I'll send props out to HBO for tonight's season premiere of Boardwalk Empire too--A CLASS ACT All the way...and as for my cousin, Michael Kenneth Williams--whether he be Chalky on the Boardwalk or Omar on The Wire, that Brotha has cemented his position in the firmament of TV's Best EVER characters. LOVE HIM!

Right now, I'm at 4-5X a week. The only time that I stopped exercising was due to an injury, but I adapted and found ways to workout around the injury.

If I go more than four days without a visit to my gym, I'm likely close to going into psycho-mode.

Some frustrations I workout in bed.

On another topic, Newsroom on HBO is infinitely better this season compared to it's debut season. Tonight's episode put the whole season into context--this season feels like the film, "The Usual Suspects," which is one of my five favorite films of all time.

But I will say this...

Boardwalk Empire on HBO is going to feature a whole story line about HARLEM this season and Black Gangsters Galore!!!

Unlike Game of Thrones...where the only black character of significance last season was named "worm" and really a eunuch with about five lines of dialogue--and then call that diversity?!?!?
