While initial reaction to this would be along the lines of 'how callous can Yahoo be?', the privacy of those living overrides that reaction.

We live in a different world than that of even 10 years ago. Part of maintaining a will, and of a servicemember's predeployment actions (power of attorney, etc), should be to safeguard usernames and passwords for just such a need.

When was the last time you made a hardcopy backup of your online accounts?

I'm one of those that usually cheers against MS in these suits and issues. However, in this I side with MS.

The integrity of the OS is at issue. Securing and maintaining that integrity is not only the right of the OS devs, but their obligation. An operating system core that is not as bulletproof as possible is one that is less stable and unable to BE an operating system.

The thing that bugs me most about this are the truths behind Wright's statements are, as usual, mostly ignored. Our history of 'indiscretions' as a nation are facts that few wish to examine; much like the taboo on examining racism. Those 'indiscretions' continue today, yet it is 'unpatriotic' to point them out.

hmm... have to disagree. A commentator, I grant, still should be wary of it. However, just as every woman in my immediate family (there are 5 of them) has called themselves a bitch, I have and will use the term myself from time to time.

In today's lexicon, [i]bitch[/i] is simply the female equivalent of [i]bastard[/i]; neither have retained much of their original meaning and little of the stigma of the curse word they were.

Al Jazeera English is one of the best sources of unbiased world reporting, btw. Real News is non-profit and US grassroots if the propaganda instilled fears of Al Jazeera are too much to overcome.

I was in Haiti for "Operation Uphold Democracy" and the follow on "United Nations Mission in Haiti" in 95 for the elections then. That video makes me fall out of my chair in laughter and cry in my hands at the truth of the parody. While there, I couldn't imagine saying this, but I miss Port-au-Prince, sad as things were and are.

I read and like most of the article. However it loses me at appropriating delegates based on exit polls. While this is a nice look into things, it is not a real vote.

Also, to accept the vote of the moved up election day in any fashion does not take into account the latent effect of only HRC's name on the ballot for weeks before the election (campaigning by mere existence as opposed to nonexistence).

I'm from Michigan. If we cannot have a revote which allows everyone to vote for the person they wish, by ballot, I don't want to be seated.

This is not the Democratic Party that coaxed me from Republican breeding. I swear the HRC camp (and I was in that camp a few months ago) has by action and words become an extension of that Republican Party I left behind. It is comments like those above that solidify that opinion.

And I must make a point of order here: the word "coalition" is defined as diverse things combining to form one body. That is not the word for you, S. By definition, it is not the word.

And HRC is not irrelevant. The Obama camp has not tried to make her irrelevant. Her relevancy in causing deeper and deeper division is openly acknowledged.
