i'm just seeing this comment now. yea don't get depressed. everyone has something wrong with them, the difference is that you usually don't know it. but yea being half-deaf is something i don't even think about. i also sleep really well because i sleep on my good ear haha

I agree, it's the only way I could have continued. I needed to have laser focus. It was exhausting having to explain myself almost daily.

I disagree. It was the wrong move at a time when they were tight on money. I have no problem with limos, but don't tell me that it was needed to seal the deal. The only deal they should have cared about was the passion of their employees, but things fell apart with everyone because no one was appreciated. But who cares? Because the president got their limo ride - so I hope they were happy before things fell apart.

I'm just seeing this now - so upset I didn't answer you! Anyway, oh great - hope not the halfway done my life too! haha But yea I find that fascinating about Beethoven. Even Tchaikovsky's most beautiful music came at some of his most painful moments, he lived a horrible and emotionally painful life at times.

I would say it's no big deal, and that you're probably doing great but it's overshadowed from worrying as your own judge. I would approach it in the same way that I read lips: over the next few weeks perhaps you should teach yourself how to "read" dance movements before they happen. This will also make you and your partner communicate better - rather than listening to the beat separately, you'll both being dancing to the music together.

As a salsa dancer, when I lead it's all about feel. So you should actually be using your eyes more and your ears less. It's similar to how blind people are able to play piano better than one's who can see, or why my left ear is way more developed than a "normal" left ear. When one of your senses are weak then the other ones pick up the slack and become really strong.

Wanna get really good at dancing with your partner? Practice both blind-folded.

Anyway, perhaps just learn to look at the way your partner's feet are pointing or their slight head rotation. Dancers practice their steps without music all the time - this proves that it's not about "hearing" it's more about "feel". The reason why you're having trouble following the beat is because you're "listening" for the beat when you should really be "feeling" for it.

Hey Ben, IANAL - but I don't sell sheet music because it's not easy to obtain. License first, but I go through Harry Fox. You pay upfront for mechanical sales (to sell at iTunes, etc.). Takes 5 minutes.

Thanks Nini! Yea it was pretty fun, and quite challenging because the original was only 40 seconds long. But I think I turned it into a full song pretty successfully.

You're the second person who has said that to me. should i take it down and reupload it? i don't want anyone to get a seizure over an effect. i actually had that concern in mind when I made the video - that flashing part was original 30 seconds long but I trimmed it down to 7 and took out some of the flashes. I think in the future I'll have the colors be closer together (light grey and white for etc.).

Also I don't think I'm going to add lyrics in all my videos. I think I'll add the music notes (which you saw during the solo) to be the entirety of the videos though - that was fun, and a pretty tricky technique which took me some time to make.

Finally, thanks for the kind words. I'm not sure what to do with these videos because I can't record an orchestra. I've spent year trying to think out of the box on something though - this may be a good idea to keep doing though.
