It's genius, seriously. I love it, I own it on VHS, and remain infuriated at myself that I never upgraded to DVD. If you can find a copy to rent, definitely do so.

Re: The Twenty-First Day of Mellowmas: Sedakamas | Popdose

"Razzle Dazzle Christmas" is the kind of song you want to play for your kids if your goal is to ensure that they forever believe that their dad is out of touch. But I still love me some Fats. If you've never heard his covers of "Lady Madonna" or "Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except Me and My Monkey," you're missing out. And I highly recommend Rick Coleman's "Blue Monday," a well-written and enthralling biography which gives you Fats' history inside and out.

Re: Bookshelf: &#8220;The Customer Is Always Wrong: The Retail Chronicles&#8221; | Popdose

I've worked fast food (McDonald's, Pizza Hut), manual labor (at a seller of propane and propane accessories, no less), and retail. Pretty cool, isn't it? Not that there's really a BAD version of the song. I just played this version, though, and Ally burst into a big grin and said, "I really like this song! It affected me so profoundly that I have all of their albums, all of Brett Anderson's and Bernard Butler's solo albums, and even the McAlmont / Butler stuff as well. But it wasn't until a few years later that she did so quite as actively and unabashedly as Samantha Fox did. And what I mean by that is that Madonna spent most of the '80s distancing herself from her nude photos that turned up in this magazine and that, whereas Samantha Fox was a topless Page 3 girl in the UK and proud of it. Man oh man oh man, she unabashedly milked her sexiness more than anyone else of her era, and I had no complaints. I still feel warm all over when I hear "Touch Me" and "Naughty Girls Need Love, Too."<br><br>I remembered the name Frozen Ghost, but I never really listened to their music.
