I didn't see the hidden racism in this particular Beck rant. I accept that Glenn Beck and FoxNews are both racist ... but, I didn't see the evidence in this particular video clip.

I do hope that O'Donnell gets beat up in Delaware!

I respect your opinion and your perspective. I've been a blogger for a little over 3 years now. I enjoy the fact that I'm active in the afrosphere portion of the blogosphere. I target my posts for other people of color. As such, I embrace the notion of being a Black blogger.

I think that you are dead on when you surmise that tasers are being overused by police officers around the nation. You noticed the recent taser-deaths because they occured in your local area. Did you know that police are killing people (men and women) on average of once per week over the past 16 months in American?

Yep -- 72 deaths since Jan 2009 alone!

I'm the executive director of BDPA Education and Technology Foundation (BETF). We are a group that seeks to provide nonprofit funding for scholarships and other programs to advance the careers of African Americans in the IT industry from the classroom to the boardroom.

I encourage you to find ways to support our efforts. You can find us on Facebook, LinkedIn Network, Groupsite (Black-owned network), Twitter, YahooGroup and YouTube. Just do a google search for 'BETF' or 'BDPA Foundation' and you'll see what I mean.

I've met many talented IT professionals as a member and officer in BDPA.

Also, I learned this month of a great initiative to create a portal of support for Blacks In Technology.

We're out here. We just need to redouble our efforts to connect and support one another!

I have Netflix and I'm enjoying it. My queue is so long that I don't notice if I'm waiting 28 days for a so-called new release. I also go to the library on occassion to rent DVDs. I only recently discovered the streaming video option on Netflix. I've loved it as it is giving me a chance to watch some shows from premium cable stations that I don't have. I recently watched Dexter, Spartacus:Blood & Sand ... and I also like BBC shows ... so I'm getting my fill of those as well.

Anyhow, thanx for sharing the 411 on this Universal / Fox / Netflix arrangement.

the whole Confederate History Month issue in Virginia is a sign of white arrogance and entitlement. They simply try to whitewash history whenever possible (... I see Texas too!).

it is up to us to use our blogs, our discussions with young 'uns and others to share the truth about American history ... inclusive of the part that African Americans played in it.

Black History is 365/24/7 ... not just February.

...my other observation from this Confederate History Month is the rise of the confederate flag as an acceptable image to display in homes, businesses and rear car windows. Not just in the South ... but, in California, northeast and midwest. You can never imagine folks flying a Nazi flag so freely as they do the Confederate flag.
