I would live moment by moment and trust that my heart would lead me to fulfilling my passions and deepest desires. All too often I get caught in the past as well as the future and I fear, I worry and I doubt which leads me to not trust myself. A vicious cycle of generating fabulous ideas but nothing to show for them. If I weren't afraid I would live an authentic life and trust that by living fully in the moment, I will my way into the answers.

I would like to leave a legacy of family traditions, a cozy and creative home, wisdom for my children and a life that serves as an inspiring example of what truly matters.

I will NOT look around my house and become overwhelmed by all the things that I feel need to be done, allowing my to enjoy my son and my husband, the sunshine, the day's full potential of FUN!

I must be honest too, lately I feel that I have been a poor friend as well. When I'm feeling overwhelmed and don't quite have a handle on my perspectives I tend to disappear and and try to handle life all on my own. I'm realizing that by connecting with others and being a thoughtful friend, I can take the focus off of myself and therefore see that we are all in this together, we all have our own stresses and circumstances yet one of our greatest resources for happiness is the friendships we hold close to our hearts.

I secretly desire a shopping spree towards my Natural Essence Style Statement. I secretly desire a trip to NYC to visit my best friend. I secretly desire the days to go back to warm for a little bit longer so that my son and I could explore a little longer and I would also love a weekend away at a spa with my husband. How fun and relaxing?!

In this very moment I am grateful to be married to my loving and supportive best friend. I am grateful to wake up to my bright-eyed boy and spend my days with him and making a home for us. I am grateful that I have true friends that I can always connect with whether near or far and I'm grateful that I am slowly living my way into the answers of my life.

I enjoy TV on Wednesday and Thursday nights. America's Next Top Model, Project Runway, Top Design. Grey's Anatomy on Thursday! And my husband an I occasionally enjoy Man vs. Wild, the History and Science channels. I would like to say that we never watch TV but after a long day I can't find anything wrong with zoning into good, easy entertainment. But a good book would over rule all of the above!

A life out in the county, beneath the stars, beneath the trees, in our cabin, in our treehouse with a roof that looks above at the stars. Conversations and laughter with my husband and then great sex, that to me is bliss.

I'm looking forward to winning the Nobel prize for literature and an Academy Award for best adapted screenplay (adapted from the literature I wrote). Double toast, a thank you speech, a beautiful gown, my husband in a gorgeous suit dancing our lives away...

If I had 37 days left to live I would go camping with my family, try to prepare our home with as much love and coziness as possible, I would write letters to my closest fiends and family and tape record me singing a song to my husband and my son. I would insist that we eat at our kitchen table and i would laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh....

"The Mastery of Love: A Practical Guide to the Art of Relationship" (A toltec wisdom book) by Don Miguel Ruiz.

He also wrote "The Four Agreements" which could also be described as a relationship book.

Both are insightful and inspiring.

I have to agree. I've been spreading the word on this book for years now and although I hate the title because it throws people off way too soon, I believe it helped me reclaim my independence, my self-confidence and helped me to honor and respect myself. It helped me have the confidence to leave an unhealthy relationship of six years and take the time to discover what is is that I actually value in a person as well as in a relationship. Years after reading (and re-reading, and underlining, and highlighting) I married a wonderful man who loves me as I am.

For better or for worse I know a lot about pop culture, I'm really good at forecasting trends, I know how to write a good letter, I know how to follow a good recipe and I would like to consider myself a good friend.

I'm excited that I have found peace in being a stay-at-home mother and homemaker. I am excited that I get to be my son's first teacher. I'm excited that I've decided to follow my heart and be a writer and domestic artist. I'm excited that everyday is full of potential, I'm excited that my happiness depends on my attitude and outlook. I'm excited that I'm leaning to trust my own voice and have confidence in the choices that I've made.

I would love to own a beautiful house in the forrest with acres of land for horses and dogs. I would also love to travel, collecting beautiful fabric to make beautiful clothes and quilts.

My favorite fiction book is Barbara Kingsolver's "The Poisonwood Bible". It tells a story of a missionary family (Father: Minister, Family: Wife and four young girls) that moves to the Congo to "save" people. My favorite part in the book is when the father is extremely disappointed in the village people because they won't get baptized in the river. A friend of one of the daughters simply points out to the girl that there are alligators in the river that will kill them. The father thinks that the village is full of heathens because they won't become "saved". It's funny, beautifully written and really hit home for me.

I would like to be a writer. To move my vision forward I need to trust my voice, practice, put myself out there and believe that I will connect with people, inspire people and be true to myself. I need to stop comparing or worrying that what I have to share doesn't matter. And instead remember that if I write (live) from my heart that alone will bring happiness and personal victories.
