HD radio is pretty much going to be nonexistent, because they can’t figure out how to get the auto guys to include that as an option, and the auto guys that do include HD don’t let the consumers know about it, Ms. Ryvicker of Wachovia Capital Markets said. It’s been a horribly marketed product that’s not going to save the radio industry. Mr. Struble objected to that characterization... He said there was 'a lot of momentum' with the auto industry."

http://tinyurl.com/5zx3je

LOL!

Re: The Dozen Auto Companies that Aren’t Going Bankrupt

No bailout is ever necessary.

You cannot create something from nothing. The government DOES NOT HAVE this money. It therefore cannot use it to bail out anything without practicing a massive degree of bookkeeping fuckery.

Re: GF Capital to buy Trade Service

I've been looking everywhere for more information on this. Glad I found your article. I think it's interesting to see how this merger will affective the automotive sound industry.

Re: Pancake motors go for an e-drive

Very good coverage, I learned a lot just from this post alone. I think we're going to start seeing automotive companies becoming more inventive as sales get tougher. They've got to do something!

Re: HD Radio Gets Automotive Push

I'm starting to see cars in my area that have this, but I'm sure it will take a little longer to see it become widespread. However, if the quality is good, I'm sure it will catch on. I'll be trying to see if I can find a car in my area that has this pre-installed.

Re: 50 Top Event Companies Show Strong Top Line

It will be interesting to see how this list stacks up against this year's spend. So much has changed since then, you have to wonder what's ahead for 2009. I hope it will help. How quickly things can change!

Re: Bloggers More Influential Than Friends for Purchase Decisions

I found this very interesting. So many people ignore this one. However, it may not be a bad idea to get a domain that has more specific relation to your niche, especially if you're not well known yet, in addition to the one that is branded.

Re: Creative Destruction in the Automotive Industry, Part II

Very good coverage on this issue. It will be interesting to see if any of the other automakers follow suit.
