I enjoy the Signals catalog. My parents bought me a T-shirt last Christmas that says, "Careful, or you'll end up in my novel." Replace the word "novel" with "column" and that T-shirt became a self-fulfilling prophecy. :)

They also got me one that says, "I know kung fu, karate, and several other dangerous words." Hmm. Come to think of it, Signals sort of seems to have it out for the writers, don't they.

While I thought he did an excellent job in "Stand by Me," I was only able to make it through the movie once - the scene with the leeches was just too creepy for me - so it doesn't rank as highly for me as some of his other movies do. Good call on pointing that out, though.
