I had been injured badly and my new manager did not know how to do the paperwork properly. So for 2 months I waited to see a doctor. This delay caused my injuries to worsen. I would soon need 2 surgeries in order to walk again. One day I received a phone call from someone from the Workers Comp dept. at my company, and they told me if I didn't see a specialist within the next 48 hours, I would be classified as 'job abandonment' and be fired. I was flabbergasted and angry because I had been living with pain for 2 months, each time my manager sent me to see a doctor, they refused to see me because the Workers Comp Insurer for my company had control over the approval of which doctor I could see. So each time I went, they denied me. But this woman who called me told me I was still covered under my employer's insurance plan and to go see a specialist using my insurance. I did this, faxed the necessary paperwork and had two very needed surgeries. A couple of months later I tried calling this woman back to thank her for helping me, and a strange woman answered the phone. When I asked for my angel by name, this woman told me no one worked there by that name, and that she has had this phone number for 8 years! Needless to say, I never found my angel, only that with her help I was on my way to recovery. I thank Jesus for looking out for me and sending me someone that loved me as much as He does.

Re: 13 Lessons to Teach Your Child About Digital Photography

I am looking for sponsors. What's also interesting is the increase in spending on social media marketing budgets. This signals acceptance of this marketing strategy.

Re: How Facebook Graph Search Affects Your Privacy [Infographic]

Thanks for this graphic, personally I don't like Social Graph; however as a business person it provides the type of marketing data I need.

Re: Old School 94.5 - BlackPlanet Radio by Songza

Hey Janet, doing my best to keep up with ya!

Re: The Google I/O Countdown Contest: Win an Asus Transformer Prime tablet and dock!

Great contest, and an awesome way to boost comment count as well as interest in this new tablet. Hope I win!!!

Re: How long should emails be?

I publish my newsletter twice weekly, once is an informational edition, and the other is a weekly recipe for diabetics. I've learned through trial and error, that my readers like to be able to scan the graphics and keep it short and sweet. So I give my readers what they want. If I need to expand on the topic, I always redirect them to the blog which has a complete blog post about the subject.

Re: Video Interviewing: Is It Time to Make It a Regular Part of Your Tool Kit?

I did a Skype video interview this morning with a marketing company. The interesting part was that they had visited my social networking profiles before considering me for the position.

Re: New “Fame” Game Increases Twitter Following For One Winner Each Day - AllTwitter

Excuse me for not getting it, but what good is being famous for a day when you lose the followers the next day? It was fueled by anger and disappointment at the dropout rate in the City of Detroit. Being a product of the Detroit Public School system, I experienced an emotional pain that at the time was indescribable. So, to read this post, brings my heart a sense of relief, as maybe, just maybe, someone in Detroit will step outside the box, and do something brand new to help those kids. Oh, and I linked to this article....

Re: 10 Amazing iPad App Video Demonstrations

I may just have to invest in an iPad....I like the educational aspects of it, what it can do as far as school work is concerned.
