Nah, I don't think that's it. People keep asking him about it because they expect him to be unhappy about it, which he probably is. He's just answering the question, can't blame him for giving his opinion.

I remember all the Brian Sabean jokes about how terrible of a GM he was before the recent dynasty run. Trying to figure out if that's still the case and he's very fortunate or if he has more than redeemed himself.

He's a different type of PG than Yogi is, but he has some potential in that spot, especially considering that he was often relied upon to initiate the offense this season. I'd like him to curb his propensity to turnover the ball when driving, but he has the tools to make it work, and an offensive game that seems well on its way to being effective. Intangibly, he seems aware enough to rarely force the issue offensively, as Blackmon has struggled with this season, and is willing to be patient for the right shot.

I would say that he is the heir apparent, but you never know if a De'Angelo Russell type player will be available. HE could just as easily be a combo guard in our system as he has done much of this season if the roster justifies it.

St. Louis asked him for an interview before they hired Matheny, and he wasn't interested. I don't think he's interested in moving at all.

I think Cody will stay, and Victor is going. I love em both, but I don't think Victor will get any more buzz than he has now, and Cody seems to have an academic focus more so than an NBA one. If they both stay, I would be ecstatic, and there's a realistic chance of them wanting to make another run at a title, but I can't blame them for going.

This loss sucks right now, but looking back, the most prominent thing we'll remember about this year will be the seniors who will leave, who made great contributions to a program that was a smoking crater when they came. Tough way to end the season, especially considering Jordan's tough month, but it didn't come to fruition

Great season guys, can't wait for next year.

That's just a measure of overall talent, not where he will end up going, and it also is a flavor of the month type deal (If a player is slumping, he drops, which is what happened to Cody). Most of the top 5 pick teams are in dire need of a big guy, even if that player isn't a game changer, and in my view, Cody will eventually land top 5.

But yeah, ranking NBA draft players is a useless exercise before the combine for the most part, so I wouldn't worry about it.

1. Cody Zeller will more than likely leave for the NBA, despite what his brothers did and what you feel about him. He already has a degree and is expected to be a top 5 pick. It's in his best interests to leave.

2. Having underclassmen leave does NOT indicate that we are a revolving door for the NBA. Look at Duke, UNC, Kansas, etc. They all have underclassmen that leave early, that's just the way college basketball works nowadays until the rules change. Failing to accept that is not college basketball's problem, it's yours.

3. I wish you'd be more informed on your prejudices towards the NBA. It is nowhere near what the NBA of old was, as defense is now a huge part of every team (This season has the lowest scoring numbers in the past couple decades).

We didn't have a spot for him, I'm sure he would have come if he saw instant PT, which we couldn't offer him. Harris going out of state is far better than going to Purdue, that's just insanity.

I was there, albeit in the balcony, and it was a fairly intense atmosphere. I don't think it was better than Kentucky or Michigan State (The game that apparently had a higher decibel level than UK), however it was loud as hell, to put it frankly.

I'd imagine that's certainly part of it, and you can't blame a kid for thinking about the presence of scouts throughout the game. For a guy like Watford, that's probably his dream, and he just didn't have it tonight. I wouldn't worry though, Big Ten season and the tournament are much more important in terms of stock than one game in November is.

It's rather unfortunate that Christian had a rough offensive go of it during the game, an issue he compounded by trying to force shots (Which he eventually stopped doing, to his credit). However, I was actually pretty impressed with his defense tonight, something he has struggled with at times. I thought he was effective on the glass and in the post when he was in the game, and later in the game, he realized it wasn't his night, and passed the ball out to open shooters rather than force a bad post shot. That's maturity and adjusting to the game, folks. Gotta love the kid.

Also, his dunk was by far the most exhilarating one of the night for me. You could see his frustration disappear after that.

Ehh, our out-of-conference schedule looks worse just because we don't have Kentucky on it anymore, as well as having a potential opponent, UCLA, reside in NCAA limbo with Shabazz Muhammed. I prefer a tougher out-of-conference schedule, but these things happen.

Stellar pickup, but I think this amplifies (and rightfully so) the scholarship situation, which frankly is an issue that is uncomfortable for many people (including myself), because nobody wants to discuss what kinds of things have to happen in order for the scholarship situation to be in line with our limits, but it has to fix itself somehow.

I don't think trading Holliday works for the Rangers, considering he gets paid close to 17 million a year. For that money, they could resign Hamilton (or at least have a decent chunk of it available)

I was just curious about your opinion, it's very difficult to say whose better or who will have a greater impact when you have ranked players this high in the conference. It's going to be interesting to watch.
