IF NBC had gone with Letterman over Leno, CBS would still not have a viable late night schedule. LENO, who was only a "gust-host" for Carson would have got the way of Joan Rivers and Chevy Chase in Late night TV, with out the propping up of NBC and the TONIGHT SHOW brand.

NBC would have dominated late night, with Letterman, with little/no competition, through the 90's and early 2000s.

Move AMAZING RACE to CBS All Access to beef up its programming and compliment the CBS-AA version of BIG BROTHER.

BLINDSPOT, along with THE BLACKLIST and its REDEMPTION spin-off, need to go. They are pulling in some of the lowest ratings, for dramas, on the network. NBC had other programs helping, including the two-dozen CHICAGO shows. ;-)

Other veteran show that should be axed, DR. KEN, FRESH OFF THE BOAT, CRIMINAL MINDS and the BYOND BORDERS spin-off, THE CATCH, ROSEWOOD, and ONCE UPON A TIME

It is all about the execution of a TV project, not that it IS or IS NOT a remake/reboot. There are few bad ideas for TV, but plenty of poorly executed ideas.

Look at some of the premieres of recent reboots/remakes. 2007's BIONIC WOMAN did great numbers for its first episode (13.9 million viewers). But viewers quickly saw how poorly the production of the show was and abandoned it just as quick (5.9 million for the 8th and last episode aired).

ST: TNG is the best series. It had better actors, better writers, better stories, and a much better production value. It is the true/best vision of the property that Rodenberry had.

Midwest got a pretty good dumping over the weekend.
I think it was raining for the first half of the Macy's Fireworks, in New York, per the hosts of the NBC event.

With freshman series CHICAGO MED and BLINDSPOT doing well, I think the days are numbered for LAURA. Only chance it may have would be a 10 - 13 episode run in the spring, on Sunday nights.

Only decent number FOX got last night was the bird best A18-34 demo rating (1.3) by New Girl.
Encouraging to see B99 build on its very weak lead in.

Positive starts to 2016 for ABC, CBS and NBC.
Momentum is key for CBS, to try and keep the numbers up when DWTS and THE VOICE return to the night.
