They pick one - CBS/ABC/NBC news - that's why their ratings are so much higher.

Re: Barbara Walters Sits Down with Sarah Palin for 5-Part Interview - mediabistro.com: TVNewser

I like Sarah, but writing a book is NOT a big accomplishment. Practically EVERYONE with a known name has a book out (multiple books, in some cases). It's just a way for her to make a few bucks, that's it. That alone is laughable. It's obvious that the rest of the Fox Business programming is unable to attract a sustained viewership, and it's been 3 years, and they're in 50 million homes, and they have the backing of Fox News, and they clearly have the visibility (as evidenced through Imus' debut week)....on and on and on.

And considering the ratings the rest of the day brings in (from campbellbear's post below), it is obvious that the network is NOT attracting new eyeballs despite the increased exposure from Imus.

If you're really that person who I think you are (from Reportercaps.com), I suggest you keep your misleading stuff to yourself. In the ratings post for August '09, it was noted that TSR plunged 35%+ in the demo (August '08 v. August '09), while CB was actually UP in total viewers (and flat demo).

Let's be honest, CNN has invested a lot of time, effort (and probably money) into Campbell's show, so I doubt they'll easily give it the axe. Don't forget that "Paula Zahn Now" stayed wayyyyyyyyyyyyy past it's due date, which proves that CNN is unusually patient with their underperformers.

I wouldn't be surprised to see something like:
TSR: 4-6pm
New show: 6-7pm
Lou: 7-8pm

Re: The Scoreboard: Wednesday, September 2 - mediabistro.com: TVNewser

Yup you're definitely right - Dylan's show and Dr. Nancy's show in particular are doing really bad...not only are they WAY down in the demo, but they're losing to CNBC in the same timeslot (must hurt Dylan especially)

Re: Breaking: Charlie Gibson To Step Down from ABC 'World News', Diane Sawyer to Anchor Broadcast - mediabistro.com: TVNewser

Whoa, this was sudden and unexpected....wonder what the reason(s) are behind this?
