It isn't always a “Fix-it-Once” type thing, a few companies got banned by Google for bad practices. You need to be very aware of the possible things that can nuke your site. Its also good not to leave all your eggs in one basket, but at the same time not having the same content across ten different domain names.

Its already too late for them to fix it. Technorati probably got a bump in users that are going to come back to the site irregardless of whether or not its in Google.

Facebook is OK. But where facebook really shines they arent using to beat Classmates. They basically have everything that classmates has for free. Facebook just dooes't set up an over charged high school reunion for you.

I was in the beta as well. Seems like pretty cool idea. They are given a discount if you were in the beta.

The one gripe I have about facebook is that its a private network like orkut is. I do like that they have all of classmate.com's features for free in there. If only more people knew about that.

I would place my bets on YouTube being hacked. Orkut gets hacked all the time. They are both ASP products, they only difference is YouTube is an open network and has more users.

Joomla isn't easy for noobs but its a very powerful CMS. It has the largest community, the most pre-made templates(both free and paid), and add on scripts to do anything you want with it.
