it says battery life depends on configuration and usage. Therefore you can buy a 9cells battery for it and then you might get 8 hours. Just like the 9cell msi wind :)

What features OpenOffice can't provide which MS Office can? I've been using OpenOffice for ages and apart from the new fancy useless gui of MS, it's totally fine. Me, as an economics-computer science vocational school graduee and 6 months to graduate as English and Applied linguistics major.

Brad, I've found a video on youtube, unfortunately it's in italian and the subtitles are next to nothing but it's still a nice hands-on video about the Samsung NC10. Apparently the guy says the battery lasts only 4h... I wanna cry... No idea about temperature though.

Maybe it's just me but it doesn't look any faster than booting ubuntu. 10-15secs difference? That's nothing, you could just stretch for that long or check where your flashdrive is, look at the people around you watching your cute eeepc, taking a deep breath... 5secs is something. If it's more than 5, i'd just wait for my OS to boot.

Since you can do pretty much everything under linux what you can do under osx, apple laptops are just a show off. I don't think they will release a laptop for $600 or under. It's just simply not their profile.
