The point behind quoting NASCAR-like events is to show how pre-selling per se takes the tension out of whether there will be an audience/customer for the event/product. It is similar to seminars being pre-sold. Most Internet Marekting 'Gurus' start working on their actual seminar based on the type of audience and comments they receive, so that they can tailor it accordingly. As you mentioned, presentation / packaging certainly makes a big difference.

'Funded' -in this context, if the service/event/product is presold, the marketer often does not have to worry about how to raise the money to give their customers what they want. They pre-sell, they get the money, they now make the perfect offering.

Rajiv - adding some finely chopped coriander to this will not only enhance the taste in a big way, but also add the iron content in terms of nutrition. I love this recipe - because I do it all the time :-) A real "fill it, shut it, forget it" kind of recipe. :-) Thanks.

What a completely relevant issue. I guess one has to constantly prowl the world wide web to check if someone else has already beaten you to publishing your own idea! I would certainly refrain from publishing "unpublished" work online in parts - especially when it really is so easy to "rewrite" and publish. Have seen that happen with ghost writers all the time. Shudder!!

I work out of home and practice No.1 diligently. It makes a huge difference when you are "dressed to work". Initially (about 5 years ago) when I quit my office job and began to work out of home I used to be excited about being able to wear anything - and the joy of flexi-time. Very quickly I realized how awfully hard it is to be disciplined when that tough routine is missing. Worse, it messed up my time-management and left me feeling quite miserable. Glad to say I woke up pretty quick and just pretended I was "going" to work. So I'd do things as though I were leaving my house at to go to work - and it worked. Still - can't seem to find a way to avoid the doorbells and phone calls :-D

Wow! This is precisely what am doing right now! I've been holding down two jobs (crazy, I know....but!) and experienced both A. and B., and as a result, there was a lot of C. Then I went through D. and well - the good news is, I am going through E. at this moment - the relief of folding 'em is immense. I already feel like am a much better person. So hard letting go, though, especially if there have been good times, even if they were few and far between, sometimes.

Always reminds me of that Chucky doll of the Child's Play fame. Errgh. I wasn't much of a doll type either - but I remember coveting one big doll someone I knew had - it was quite gorgeus. Find Barbie gross though.

Look at me - do I sound weird? *wink*

Funny thing is - someone gave my son a doll when he was little - and this one's quite cute. Not sure if I can share the link here, though :D
