Glenn Beck has the right to say whatever he likes. Advertisers have the right to place their ads where ever they want. If you don't like what Glenn says, don't watch him. That's what I do regarding the bozos over at MSNBC. If I don't like a product or the manufacturers policies, I won't buy from them. Let the market decide. That is what freedom is all about. I surely don't need someone telling me what I can watch or cannot watch. I can handle that all by myself. The basic creed of liberalism is don't force your morals on me. Seems many of the progressives have a hard time living up to that creed. Otherwise they'd give Beck his space.

I do not believe she will be able to maintain the viewers. When she sits in for KO, her viewer ship usually slides downhill as the week goes by doesn't it?

According to the new PEW results (http://people-press.org/rep... all of the news agencies suck. NBC is at a low 24% believability rating. CNN came in with the highest, 30%. Pretty dismal.

I think it's inappropriate to show children talking to their parents that way,or vise versa. Even if it is meant to be funny. But then again, in my view, one is free to show whatever they like on their website.

Like I said, I watch all the networks regularly. FOX uses "Fair and Balanced" frequently. I do realize Olbermann is MSNBC's bread and butter. I'm not sure why you're making that an issue. I certainly am not.

And from my observation, and some of the major polls, for the most part, FOX leans right, and the rest lean left. It is my point of view. A view I came to from many years of watching. I'm not going to argue about it, or debate it.

I watch FOX, MSNBC, CNN HEADLINE NEWS, and CNN regularly. The only difference I see in their new presentations is that FOX leans to the right, the rest to the left. They all give pretty good news coverage when special stories present themselves. Other than that, they're opinion oriented. Arguing happens from time to time on all of the networks, (except for Olbermann. He never has an opposing view or any conflict whatsoever.) Most of the programming on these networks revolve around politics and celebrity gossip. And they do it for the ratings. Making money is why they're in business. No other reason. The journalists and commentators may have other motives, but the owners are doing it to make money, plain and simple. They are business peopleand that's all they are. That's my take.

Anonymous, Olbermann was on. It's interesting to see how much he's dropped. Abrams has dropped too, but not nearly as much as Olbermann.

As i am sure you know, NBC is not the reason why people watch. It has to do with the Olympics. NBC gets the rights to show it because it was the highest bidder. But then again, I'm preaching to the choir.

I'm not surprised at the ratings. My drift is that many people like to watch the opening ceremonies, but not the events (insert my wife, and many of my friends, here). I passed. It just doesn't interest me one bit.

I don't think the Olympics, or the fact that it is lighter outside have anything to do with it. If those were the case, then why are the other shows either up from Tuesday (and previous days), or even? Seems that MSNBC is down across the board. Especially Olbermann. Yet shows like Larry King and BOR are up, as well as Special Report, Fox Report, Mad Money, Prime News, On the Money, Hannity and Colmes, Beck, Grace, On the Record, etc. Not to mention that the Olympics were not on on Wednesday night ( it was light then also) and Olbermann was at around 600K too. In fact, a case could be made that since the Olympics are on the NBC network, and MSNBC gets crumbs from the mother network, their numbers would be up.

Maybe Olbermann's ratings are dropping because people are bored with his narcissistic arrogant personality. O'Reilly is arrogant, but his narcissism is minimal compared to Olbermann's. IMO, that is. Plus, from what I'm seeing, many of the cable shows that have talk politics most of the time are losing viewers. FOX seems to mix it up more. For me, the whole presidential campaign thing is just old, and I find myself avoiding shows that focus on it. I'm just tired of it all. I might not be alone. Maybe it's as simple as that.

I compared the 8 and 9 pm slots for Tuesday and Wednesday. The left hand column represents Wednesday night. The right Tuesday. As you can see Olbermann took a big hit as did Abrams, but the rest seems pretty normal. Some up...some down.

MSNBC's strategy to go far left is attracting new viewers. Matthews and Abrams are up too. But have they topped out and how long will it last? We'll see. Also, Obermann's ratings took a jump with the McClellan interview, but they have come down some since then. Another factor in the Olbermann case is he has been getting quite a bit of attention lately and many people may be dropping by to see what he's all about. Once they see that he is a loon they will more than likely move on. One last thing. Sometimes I watch him just because I want to watch his insanity.Watching him is like looking at a car wreck. I wonder how many people are watching him for that reason. Plenty, I would imagine.
