I married and had three sons with a Bronze Star holding, Vietnam combat veteran liberal who is particularly incensed by right wing "chicken hawks" advocating war without serving themselves and the false appropriation of patriotism by the right. There are more liberal war heroes out there than most people think.

A call from a cell phone goes once. If it fails, it's over. A tweet sent as a text message is a much smaller packet of data and will continue it's effort at sending until it gets through.

I'm hoping that it's renewed and that AMC re-airs the first season, or releases it on DVD. It's already on iTunes. This is a show that viewers need to see from the beginning, so there's plenty of time between now and Season 2 to increase the audience beyond those of us who were riveted to our sets for Season 1. I'm interested in re-watching all the episodes just to see what I missed, because I already know there was a lot.

I still think Antoine can't read, and thought Overmyer's startle before responding was protecting the story line. I could be completely wrong, but intend to hold onto it until proven otherwise. Thanks so much for coming and for making some very interesting points.

Saturdays are for catching up (online and IRL), for running errands, for reading tweets & composing blog posts to be refined later. I spent much of the morning watching television, having missed most of the Tim Russert coverage yesterday, working. Now, it's time to put the computer down and get busy being the mom. Nice rant. It's just that the legislation on behalf of consumer always lags behind technoloical advances. What the mobile service providers get away with woud never be tolerated in the computing world. I have an ATT 8525 - http://www.wireless.att.com... (there's a newer version with a tilt screen) and it does most of what you're wishing for (plus, serves as a modem to connect a laptop - although who needs a laptop when they have this little computer in their hand?). I chose it over the iPhone last summer because it runs on 3G. I've been very pleased although I still can't stop myself from lusting after The Youngest's iPhone.
