What I found helpful was picking one day that you know is going to be terrible and then just dealing with it. For me, that was Mondays. Start at 8a and often goes past midnight (It would be afternoon in Singapore).

It's not always possible to set up the week that way, but if you can make that work most of the time, it's better.

It's appalling to me how unwelcoming and hateful this administration and its supporters are being. We have issues, yes, and they are hard issues, but none of our problems are because of immigrants (either legal or illegal). When you don't know how to solve the actual problems, it's so easy to just point the finger at the "other" and blame everything on them. Oh, things are hard, it's all "their" fault. The issue is... this will fix nothing. And it will all go horribly. As the 1930s have shown us.

Every single person in the United States, besides Native Americans, is an immigrant. The only question is since when.

Handwritten notes always leaves an impression, but many people don't check their snail mail regularly. An entrepreneur sent me a beautiful handwritten note to the office and I checked my mail about 6 weeks after it arrived (for the first time in a year). Maybe it's just me?

I think it has to extend beyond schools, Joanne. The unvaccinated kids go to playgrounds, malls, doctor's offices and they put children too young to be vaccinated at risk. They also put pregnant women at risk (bc 97% post-vaccination immunity is not 100%).

I find it ludicrous. They are using herd immunity to protect their kids, but exposing everyone else by lowering herd immunity.

I think the law has to be changed that all kids who reside in the state have to be vaccinated. Only medical exemptions signed by two doctors. Otherwise, the kids will be vaccinated by the state and the parents could face jail time. Is that severe? Perhaps, but this is child endangerment.

India just saw its last case of Polio thanks to the Gates Foundation. How ironic is it that it may resurface in the US?

Not sure I agree with this one. Many filmmakers who are starting out need to fund their films. But they don't yet know enough people and/or the people who can give larger sums in order to get their films made.

Would they rather have 30% of the funds needed? Sure. Will the film be crappy because they don't have the rest? No. They get it through loans. This puts an additional burden on them in terms of repayment, but they do it.

In this case, should they take a loan out (student debt) for 100% of the cost of the film or 70%? Clearly the latter.

Also, the fact is that when a project gets to the 90% mark on All Or Nothing, the person raising the money funds the last 10%. Not directly, but through a friend or through a relative and then they pay them back offline. I've seen it on so many projects. That is the sad truth about may projects "making it".

While I agree with some of your points, I don't agree that Keep What You Raise is lame. There is a use case for it. And a good one.

I highly recommend the Juicebox charger. It's a 15kw charger that's 3x as fast as what came with our Leaf. Alleviates the only stress that comes with owning an electric.

I was recently in Stanford's Design School and the feeling is similar - totally perfect for the work that goes on there. It's not as focused on funding as this is (appropriately so), but it was such a great place to be. It's fantastic that Universities are designing their spaces to suit the learning and work they are enabling.
