This is incredible! I believe that this is a perfect example of our politicians dragging their feet because of their ties to BIG BUSINESS. How else could you explain the fact that this same piece of legislation has been stalled for over 10 years. How many people must die before they do what is right?

Don't these people understand that shows like this live for bad press? It is a huge PR stunt that increases their visibility more than anything else could (see http://www.google.com/trends?q=Bob+and+the+Show...)

They should have taken the settlement and ran! Now, they risk getting nothing as the time this makes it into a court room, board room, arbitrator's office, nobody will care.

RE: Oil. Regardless of what is causing the recent pike in oil prices or who is to blame, why is our government just sitting around pointing fingers? Why aren't we working towards a solution?

I'm all for alternative fuels, but while these technologies mature, why is there not a mad dash to find the remaining oil reserves in the U.S.?
