'No legit media ever gave Gore a victory', NO. Typical GOP amnesia. Most of the major media outlets called it for Gore as well as a guy named George W. Bush! It wasn't until the wee hours of the next morning that Florida looked tied and the GOP stole the election. 50,000 legal, registered voters wiped off the voter rolls by Jeb Bush, Thousands of elderly Jewish voters casting votes for Holocaust denier Pat Buchanan by the butterfly ballots... Any of that ring a bell?

She's a political shark; she saw the opening, smelled the blood in the water and jumped in the governor's race at the right time. The painful way she strings together conservative phrases betrays, I believe the central truth: She doesn't really HAVE an ideology of her own. Reagan BELIEVED this stuff, Palin just uses it as a springboard to power. If she was a true beleiver, she wouldn't need the 24/7 coaching to begin with, but even after months of intense coaching, she can't keep even the most simple campaign points straight.
I've known several very charismatic, popular people whom I learned later had real learning disablilities. It hit me like a ton of bricks two weeks ago watching Palin; I 've seen this before! I've worked with learning-diabled kids and have nothing but love and respect, but electing someone like that to the Oval Office... I don't know where else to go with this.

I don't write campaign ads for a living, but the DNC or SOMEONE needs to HAMMER Saxby 'Trick-Knee' Chabliss for being what he is:
A DRAFT-DODGEING COWARD!
He got four (4) deferments to get out of serving in Vietnam while playing college and minor league baseball!!
Then, he has the NERVE to slime Max Cleland in 2002. Beyond shameless.
Anyone here with the resources and time PLEASE pursue this; I'd love for this to come up now in the Blogosphere.

Remember "Obama-Brownback"?? I don't know how much more "bi-partisan" he's supposed to get.
Obama has proven himself to be as clear-eyed and pragmatic as anyone I've ever seen actually make it this far. Hagel is a kindred spirit on the other side.
The classic GOP definition of "bipartisan" is when someone from the other party walks by a room full of Republicans and just keeps his/her mouth shut. "A Democrat was in the building when we wrote this!"

All those racist "Democrats" from the past all joined the Republican party, you know like Jesse Helms and Strom Thurmond.
For someone who doesn't seem to like or respect black people, you have a pretty good grasp on the challenges they've have to face from racist society, regardless of what party they were associated with. If your talking about the South, just replace "Democrat" with "white" and you'd see the real picture.
I'm actually from the South, so I've seen what you're talking about first-hand. I've seen much more violent racism--like the kind you're espousing--in Pennsylvania and especially Idaho, where Palin is actually from and where Mark Furman has a vacation home. It's like White Supremisist Disneyland.
Just don't go into the same oublic bathroom as their senator, Larry Craig!!

"Monkey-eared buffoon"? George W. Bush has very simular ears--being as we're getting so deep in the important issues--and he's by his own admission "not as curious" as he's like to be.
So, it sounds like you should be just as happy with a new "monkey-eared buffoon" as you are with the current "monkey-eared buffoon".
Also, Dubya has said more than a few times that God put him in the White House, so he's far more of a "wannabe messiah" than Obama who's NEVER made such claims.
BTW, Kenya is not an Arab country and B.O. Sr. was but NO STRETCH of the imagination of Arab descent unlike both Sununu's, Abazaid and other GOP giants who ARE Arabs.

If you define terminating a pregnancy, a medical procedure, as murder and therefore never justified; then you have to accept that others define splattering the brains of innocent people who happen to be unlucky enough to live in Baghdad or Hanoi as murder and therefore never justified.

When John McCain killed hundreds if not a thousand innocent people by dropping bombs on heavily populated areas of Hanoi, he no doubt killed pregnant women and babies; doesn't that make him an abortionist? Those kids died for no other reason than their parents may or may not have subscribed to Communist ideology.
We're supposed to feel sorry for him when the relatives of his victims tap-danced on his broken bones afterward? I think he got off easy!

Why doesn't the Right Wing media point out the 5-figure-per-plate fundraisers featuring Pres. Bush the McCain campaign benefits from regularly? Obama doesn't have the silent well of evil billioniaires to draw money from like the Republicans do. He's having to go to REAL people for funding and can only raise the big bucks in a public setting.
The typical Republican campaign is like Romney's where a rich white guy can finance it ALL, all you "low information voters" have to do is show up to GOP rallies and bask in the HATE.
