Profile of a Florida Juvenile Sentenced to Life without Parole for Non-Homicide
Kenneth Young,25 now 24 years old, is serving four life without parole sentences for
three armed robberies which occurred within a month’s time in the year 2000 in and around
Tampa, Florida. During this period Kenneth turned 15 years old. When Kenneth was 14
years old, his mother’s 25 year-old drug dealer, Jacques Bethea, told him that his mother
owed a three thousand dollar drug debt. This drug dealer threatened Kenneth that if he did
not participate in these robberies his mother would be harmed.
Kenneth’s part in these robberies was to take the money and the surveillance tapes,
while the drug dealer held a gun on the clerk and made the demands. No shots were ever
fired. Kenneth did not have a prior criminal history. The 25 year-old drug dealer had an
extensive criminal history. The drug dealer received one life without parole sentence; in
contrast, Kenneth received four life without parole sentences.

No previous criminal record and he didn't use the gun...

The "Why Florida" link has another link that 18% of minors in Florida prisons serving life are 13-15. Even China and Iran don't do this...

The primary will produce another GOP candidate who would be totally “wishy washy” and unacceptable to Rush Limbaugh or Michelle Malkin, the voters will completely ignore the “wisdom” of the blogosphere and national media, and elect them like they always have.

What is more encouraging to me is that the wins by Christie and McDonnell show that competent center-right candidates interested in governance and all those “parochial” local issues can tap into voter discontent and win electoral victories. Hoffman’s possible defeat suggests that campaigns dominated by the presence of national activists, empty sloganeering and indifference to local interests may not gain traction even in those districts that are traditionally inclined to favor the politics of someone like Hoffman. Those of us who would like to see Democratic domestic agendas thwarted without empowering the Palins of the world may have managed to get exactly the results we would wish to have.

Keep up the Hannity/Beck meme and more Blue dog Dems will take swing districts...

They violated "conventional" wisdom by siding with the Democrat - a person who most of the moderate Repubs wouldn't normally vote for.

By all accounts the Dem was more of a centrist than the Repug that withdrew from the race. The 23rd picked a local blue dog Democrat over a Beck Wingnut...

I added up the number of people that said "quite good" and the number that said "very good" to arrive at my numbers, which probably explains why your search didn't find the exact numbers. It was the very first table in the PDF were I took the numbers for the first question.

TPMDC dug into it, and here’s what happened.

Feinberg did a pen and pad with reporters to brief them on cutting executive compensation. TV correspondents, as they do with everything, asked to get the comments on camera. Treasury officials agreed and made a list of the networks who asked (Fox was not among them).

But logistically, all of the cameras could not get set up in time or with ease for the Feinberg interview, so they opted for a round robin where the networks use one pool camera. Treasury called the White House pool crew and gave them the list of the networks who’d asked for the interview.

The network pool crew noticed Fox wasn’t on the list, was told that they hadn’t asked and the crew said they needed to be included. Treasury called the White House and asked top Obama adviser Anita Dunn. Dunn said yes and Fox’s Major Garrett was among the correspondents to interview Feinberg last night.

Simple as that, we’re told, and the networks don’t want to be seen as heroes for Fox.

TPMDC spoke with a network bureau chief this afternoon familiar with the situation who was surprised that Fox was portraying the news as networks coming to its rescue.

Seems Faux News tried to generate a phony story, but real investigative pundits caught them in the act of lieing...

Your point seesm to be that medical administration is inefficient. What happened to the "market" forcing reform and making a doctors office more efficient. The auto companies are heavy into automation and computers, yet they're dieing in the US. Robots, PLCs, rfid tags/chips and noncontact measurement/adjustment make auto companies more productive...

Rfid and computerized records are suppose to be the future of medical record, but will that happen without a government handout?
