Soldiers who are linked to right wing hate groups will be removed from the military, it's already a policy.

Good. In the meantime, people of all faiths--including Muslims--will be able to serve safely and peacefully.

But as long as the stock markets are up, and GDP is up, and "orders" are up, then I guess the contraction of middle class net worth isn't a problem. {rolling eyes}

So what does it say when Black folks, on the one hand, act up and agitate in order to bring attention to the disgraceful ways in which we're treated by FOX, yet on the other hand, are thrilled to partner with FOX so that we can style and profile and entertain?

If we're willing to sing, dance, act, and play football on FOX, should we really expect FOX to take our petitions seriously?

I mean, let's flip the script. If White people like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck didn't care for the way they were depicted on BET or TVOne, I wouldn't expect them to patronize those networks.

But every Sunday on FOX, we can find the richest Black men in the world doing just that.

If the powerful Rupert Murdoch is to be stopped, then he's going to have to be stopped by powerful Black people within media.

I suppose this isn't a surprise. The apples (Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity) don't fall far from the Murdoch tree.

But see, racist heavyweights like Murdoch don't respect our being offended or insulted. In fact, they respect very little about us at all. And that's because our heavyweights don't rise up; they don't make them pay.

This is why the Murdoch tree will thrive, and bear more fruit like Beck. Our heavyweights don't have the courage to cut that tree down.

We can try to intellectualize the nuances that comprise the healthcare debate; and we can do that ad nauseum. But when you peel the skin on the onion, Artur Davis is simply playing up to Deep South white voters and their tendencies to rebel against anything Obama.

I also share those suspicions. If Hasan was communicating with al Qaeda on the sly, then why was he also doing his level best to get OUT of the Army (based on reports published by NBC). Being a sleeper-Muslim-terrorist is inconsistent with wanting to get out from under one's cover.

As they say in prison, anybody can get got. Lieberman can act like a Republican if he wants to, but somebody will eventually run against him and beat him. At that point, he'll be ass-out of Congress altogether; he will NOT win another seat as a Republican, and voters in Connecticut will be hard pressed to elect a Republican to the Senate.

It's not a sure thing that the Dems had 60 votes anyway, so Lieberman's vote probably doesn't mean all that much. So I agree with you, Guns.

But I'm not so sure that the President didn't already "warn" Lieberman about future public displays of disloyal grandstanding. And I'm sure that there were other private chats with him by other Dems.

Their best bet now is to finish up with health care; let Lieberman act the fool that he promises to be; and then ostracize him until he leaves the party.
