What I also meant to say is that I have already got much more out of your project than I would have out of simply watching a movie, therefore getting to see the actual movie will be like extra bonus.

I guess it changes the perspective if you evaluate the success of your whole project as opposed to just the final movie, which in a way could be seen as simply a part of the project... If a quite important one!

That's what I always thought was amazing about this project. The way you embraced "new media", you created an audience that you can take on a film-making journey with you. I sincerely hope it will pay its rewards for you, but it certainly will make me appreciate this movie a lot more when I finally get to see it.

My only worry (and I don't meant to put any pressure on you, i'm sure you do that to yourself enough) is that for me in a way the "hype" built up around the movie will somehow take away a bit of the wonder of the final film...

Like when the first Hlaf-Life game came out, it came out of nowhere and blew people's minds. When Half-Life 2 came out, people had been reading and talking about it for years, and while it was another amazing experience, somehow it didn't have the same... sense of wonder.

Yeah, I would definitely go 64 days and THEN lead people to the KSR video. It has all that people need to know about the project, but to me it doesn't have the emotional impact that 64 days had...

Might be just me though !

I know it's going to sound like i'm obsessed about them, but i reckon you should try promoting one of the 64 days episodes on Digg, or at list use it as a hook to get people to know more. I know it's what got me into the project. a lot more than a synospis or a timeline would have done.

You definitely should (specially since you have so much free time ;P ). Zen and the art of Motorcycle maintenance would be right up your alley I think.

I am a bit ambivalent between the two opinions voiced above I must say. I agree with William in that I have hugely enjoyed the 64 days episodes and that I have been a bit let down with the trailers.

I think you might have misled us a bit with these trailers, as they don't seem that representative of what the final movie will be. One long panoramic shot sets the mood beautifully, but 4 of these and people start to wonder if it is all there will be to the film! We can see the pictures but we don't hear the thoughts.
I can understand how you must enjoy these shots, reliving these moments. I am myself very nostalgic and I keep on peering over photos of previous trips, and it is starting to dawn on me that other people aren't nearly as interested.

Anyway, my advice would be slow down on the trailers, until you feel you can afford the time and energy to do one that will be a bit more detailed and complex.

That comment doesn't really have anything to do with your post or fundraising by the way. Sorry about that.

64 days all the way! From a purely selfish reason, I just want to see another one soon :)
But also like you say, focusing on a much shorter timeline, and HAVING FUN, will do you a world of good.
But mainly I just want another episode for me too watch ;)

Dude, you need to sort out your computer before you start editing aye. It's too easy to just learn to live with these little problems, disks dropping etc... But day after day they wear you down and drive you nuts!
Just take a day off, reformat the whole thing, reinstall the OS and all your favourite softwares, and start with a clean slate.
It might seem tedious and a waste of time now when you'd rather be doing actual production stuff, but it will make your life sooo much easier later.
Trust me, i've been there!
