Then when they had a security issue 1 week before our launch they shut it off for 2 days with no advance notice to developers. Very risky to build your site authentication on a non proven technology (tho there are some advantages). We made an executive decision to not use OAuth until it is rock solid. ;)

Cheers!
@rumford
Co-Founder of TweetPhoto

Re: TweetPhoto: TwitPic Finally Gets a Real Competitor

Jennifer & Jeremy,

We are working with third party app developers so that users can send their photos thru iPhone twitter apps, BlackBerry's, desktop aps, clients, etc.

We are releasing our exhaustive API next week. Social networks keep growing and are here to stay. Facebook now at 220 Million users. (18 months ago that was 20 million).

When will companies wake up and really jump in and engage instead of just putting their toes in the water? They need to realize that social networks are distribution and consumption channels that simply can't be ignored.

More details, case studies and best practices for them to follow are here: http://www.twitterbusinessbook.com

Cheers!

Re: rizzn's socnets: Noon on Thursday Works for Twitter, Too [ReTweets, Please]

Thanks for pointing out this stat Mark. This is one of the best analogies i have seen to date on transparency. Asking companies to do that is really cultural shift and the are paralyzed by fear of what people might read about them.
