This is one or the rare SW dumped for Autodesk products. 9 times out of 10, I always see Autodesk being dumped for SW. It will be interesting to see if in a couple of years we see them migrate back to SW.

I really like the parametric balloon quantities. All of the drawing improvements are great and needed.

For these guys, I have to steal the line from the Guiness commercial. "Brilliant"! Backblaze is being run in my opinion by a group of folks who have common sense and a great idea of what they want to do an how to do it. I think they will kick the rear end off of the big boys with this backup solution they have.

Josh, we were not allowed to upgrade to SW 2009 here. This year we will storm the IT department, capture the SW 2010 discs and run amuck installing it in Engineering. The mouse gestures alone I believe warrant the installation of it. Now with the ability to retain a grip on my drinking mug will allow me to consume even greater quantities of caffeine loaded drinks.

Is this ad only running in Europe? I doubt they could have got away with that here in the US. Some group would have been "offended" by the ad and screaming to have it removed and suing for damages.

Personally, I find it simply states a truth about certain groups of people.

Excellent post Josh and an several great comments on other pointers. The one thing I do to help make the part more useful for me and easier to position is an assembly is to add a mate reference. It helps take out one of the manual mating operations when I insert the part.

I have serious doubts that FriendFeed will turn Facebook into a Twitter killer. My assumption from what I have seen people using Facebook for is a much different type of use than what Twitter is used for. Facebook is a tool used by people for specific reasons just as Twitter is. I personally find no use for Facebook since it does not help me find the information I want or the type of interactions I want to have online with other people. Twitter however, does fulfill my needs of interacting with others on specific and non specific subjects.

For me, Twitter is a tool that gets the job done, whereas Facebook would not. I believe FriendFeed will just turn on a fire hose of information that will turn the overwhelming majority of Facebook users off on it.
