I had no clue about this until I checked my e-mail and saw over 30 e-mails for "Comment posted on Jordan Crawford: Dunk Contest winner at IU Midnight Madness video" that I put on YouTube a couple of years ago. Google'd Crawford and James, and sure enough, there was this. I do miss the kid and wish he would have stayed, but more than understand.

It would be nice to see South go all the way...and JR Holmes get passed Regionals with a South squad for once. If they win their last regular season game, it will be Holmes' 600th win....pretty impressive!

I do plan on buying the issue though (so, ESPN still got $$ from me - shucks), and am glad we are back to the culture, tradition, and Indiana Way.

Well, it hurts, and mistakes came at an inconvenient time, but hopefully this will serve as a building block for the Hoosiers. Especially the part with learning how to hang on to such a lead at home...

Couple thoughts on other comments:
Couldn't agree more with the BTN camera crew....SEVERAL lapses during shots and fast breaks
This game was NOT included in the student's season ticket package, which might explain the lower attendance...

On a positive note - I do believe I heard them say the men's team had a 2.9 GPA last semester (which is GREAT to hear)...while the women's team achieved a 3.0 as well....

Yeah, I've heard he broke it during practice, and I know he broke it last year while playing at Carmel, so, who knows if it'll just be temporary or long-term/overprotective like Rip....

I was one of the few students who got season tickets, so I didn't have to worry about a bad "stream", thankfully...

but, I agree with most people in that, we WILL need Taber on the court to help contribute on the defensive end with rebounds, Pritchard will be one hell of a player the more comfortable he gets down low, and this team will surprise a few people as the season goes on

Also, as it was my first game of the season, I was really impressed with the heart and hustle Moore showed on the court last nite...even if he wears the goofy Rip Hamilton mask

Been awhile since I've been on here, but, although none of us thought we would be happy to hear news like this a year ago....I'm glad we'll have some leadership and experience (somewhat) back on the court, although we don't know how much Taber will contribute physically quite yet...

Also, funny little tidbit I read - - "Matt Bowen, a 1995 graduate of Indiana is in his third year as the head coach of Bemidji State. He was a student manager for the Hoosiers from 1990-95..."

Skiles' DUI came while he was at Michigan State.

Not many big-name schools showed much interest in Skiles until after the state championship game...Keady's assistants told him to look at other schools, and Digger Phelps didn't show much attention either. I think Bobby showed interest in Skiles but ultimately looked elsewhere due to different reasons.

Not sure how it all relates to the Sampson hire, but yes, Skiles was always cocky. I've heard when MSU visited Skiles' house to talk with his dad about Scott's time at MSU, they told his dad that Scott wouldn't start many games/receive much playing time his freshman year -So Scott yelled from the kitchen - "The hell I won't!"

Just curious, as I've been thinking about the draft....but, was Jay Edwards the last Hoosier to be drafted by the Clippers about 20 years ago or so?

I know both have their similarities (both 6'4" guards, Big 10 Freshman of the Year, set records in their college career, could shoot the ball rather well - 20 ppg, etc.).....but wasn't sure if there were any since Edwards to be drafted by the Clippers...

I was rather happy to see Greenspan resign, though I expected either that or a firing to happen sometime during these "trials"....but, from pre-season last year up until this point it feels as though our basketball program was placed at the top of Everest, and somebody, or more than "somebody", came and kicked its legs from underneath......and we have yet to hit the bottom. Ugh! When will it stop?!
