The feds pretty much wasted their time going after Italians. The thing would have and is dying a natural death for many reasons. Italians have been marrying other ethnic groups in large numbers for decades,thus producing sons who don't identify as "italian" that much. Italians are no longer a poor minority, their sons go to college now. Their are no real "italian" neighborhoods in nyc any longer. The nice ones have yuppies residing in them and the not so nice ones have minorities. Nothing really left and will be dead in ten years or so as current members die and age out.
