well put, however in American history post WW2 the Germans got short shrift. Henry Americans invented the Automobile Industry. Kind of like saying Americans invented aviation- we didn't we just perfected/expanded it. But the fact that the hatchetheads seize upon this one anecdote and ignore the rest of the substance is proof positive why we are in the mess we are in. Sorry folks but the recovery is not going to show up on your Blackberry's. We as Americans have become too Reactive as opposed to Proactive.

All in all it seems the Dems are trying to stack the deck- and punishing Lieberman will blow up in their faces...so they are making nicey nicey for future issues- which kind of seems like an appeasement stance rather than a hard line. When they are done with him they'll throw him to the sharks. That's my guess.

Let's hope that No-Show Joe keeps up his performance in the Committee and people with actual drive like Waxman keep doing their jobs. If JL actually decides to take his job seriously and start in on the administration when he was laissez faire to Bush's offenses then we'll know Joe for the partisan hack he truly is.
Connecticut voters should be the final arbiters on him, in the end. They won't re-elect him that's for sure.

As opposed to the gestapo like civilian security force called the conjoined National Guard and NYPD with their DHS embroidered patches? You mean those guys?

( kidding, I have family on the job- but seeing bunches cops clustered about Penn Station like a pack of teenagers, on a daily basis gives me no confidence should something disasterous break out )

I think Dr. Seuss devised that one- a la Star bellied Sneetches...seriously I don't know- it's a way for the media to polarize/quantify the country and oversimplify the issues of the day.

There is an inherent bias towards the left hand of things- going back ages- the original heraldric term for a symbol pointing left is "sinister". Lucifer sat at God's left hand purportedly- though if you are looking at this alleged "throne" you'd see Luc on the right, wouldn't you?

There is also an inherent pack mentality on these blog sites that is condoned by anonymity.
