It has been interesting to watch this industry embrace and utilize social media. As a whole, real estate seems to be ahead of several industries in their use of web based marketing. Things like real estate bar camp, RE BlogWorld and the Inman conferences help thousands of agents each year.
Interestingly enough, you can still easily find many agents fighting technology like crazy.
Thanks for the great information, I have not used a couple of the thngs mentioned.

wow, it amazes me how many people want to be called social media experts, trainers, coaches, gurus etc. The fact that someone uses social media ( sort of ) and then rips off content from more credible sources just floors me.
I have seen you speak and watched you educate business owners about having an actual plan for their business and have learned a TON from you. ( thanks for that)
Some people "get it" and some don't but the fact remains, even if they "get it" they don't necessarily qualify as someone to be teaching others or leading them to the "promised land" of social media. There is no silver bullet here. People need direction, focus and a strategy. They need Jack Smith. :-)

How cool is that!?! I think you did a great job in showing an example of people that understand how important social media can be for large and small businesses alike. I live within walking distance to a Wildflower in Tempe, my family and I enjoy it a lot. The pesto chicken pasta kind of rocks, ya' know...
I hadn't tried the blueberry stuffed french toast but that sounds like a great way to start this Saturday morning. I'm pretty sure my kids will thank you for mentioning it :-)
I just followed both of the Wildflower Twitter accounts you mentioned.

Great info here! Thanks for the detailed post. The 12 minute service for light rail shouldn't be the end of the world. I hate any of the 20 minute waits but that is just because I am always in a hurry. We knew the "night rail" stuff would get whacked, no big surprise.

You guys ALL make some GREAT points. I don't know about a "bazillion" agents stepping up to actually pay for something but there WILL be a lot of content hitting the "streets."
Here in PHX, Jay's site will obviously rank very well because he does know how to swing a hammer and writes GREAT content.
I am gonna be pissed to see some of the clowns setting up 5000 pages with a title of a subdivision followed by the "homes for sale" in the same subdivision with just the code dropped in for their magical ranking to start helping their POS web site.
It might get interesting... :-)
Thanks Jeff, Jim, Jay etc. This is good stuff and will be fun to watch
