Wow. Funny & crazy. I haven't had this happen... Oh, wait. It could be why people ask me where I'm from (LOL) and then they give me a blank stare when I say "Maryland." I have locks again now and my texture is a bit different than the first time I had them (after three more children, etc.), they look a little curly still and really soft. They ask how I get mine like this. I keep wondering why they still seems unsatisfied with my answers.

The only person who offends me is my mother: "Oh you have those things in your head again?" The first time I locked my hair: "Why would you put those things in your hair." She also normally says dreads instead of locks. I'd rather her just say dreadlocks instead of DREADS with a negative tone.

I won't let her say or tell my daughters they have "good hair." My oldest daughter is 22 and the next are 9, 8 & 6 and she still has a problem with that phrase. I explained to her I don't want her having my girls think that other people have "bad" hair.

Beautiful pictures and the doc seems like a beautiful man. Inside and out. I wish he were my dentist. :-) I think I'd have to make up a couple of stories about sore gums and teeth.

I have been avoiding your PowerPoint tutorials for years! LOL... Now I see this about Twitter and I have to watch, read and learn. I'm going to leave this screen up until I get to it. Thanks Peggy.... for forcing me to use PowerPoint. ;-)

I only come by every so often, but each article I read is very helpful. Like "Grow it Out" ... There is so much about healthily taking care of hair that it's hard to say which is the best, favorite or most helpful.

Love the style! What gave you the idea to use yarn? Does it pull moisture from the hair and how long are you able to leave it in before it doesn't look like hair? Or does it stay looking nice the entire time. I am amazed... I don't think I've ever thought of or seen yarn used. Very cool. Love your explanation of how to do the style. I think I may try this style on my middle daughter's hair without the yarn. Thanks! :-)

Winning this camera bundle will make the biggest difference to my children and my ability to capture moments for memories. With my last two children (four total) I haven't done as well with preserving memories and I want to make sure I don't miss documenting anything! My oldest daughter loves going back and reviewing her life - so to speak. I want the other children to have the same feelings.
