I know the feeling, even only having owned a Mac for about two months. I was never comfortable putting my Dell to sleep, 'cause I didn't know what status services would be in when I woke it up. I put my Mac to sleep all the time, without worrying that data I hadn't saved might not be in a program that didn't correctly come back to life. :)

The spelling, BTW, is "Pont de Rennes," French for "Rennes Bridge." Rennes, France is one of Rochester's sister cities.

A Christian insurgent shooting and killing a US soldier would be a big deal, too, but I'm not sure in what context such an event might happen.

I agree, it is domestic terrorism, and it shouldn't be tolerated, either. Dr. Tiller's killer should (and no doubt, will) be prosecuted for murder.

I see where you're going with this, and that's a crappy deal, too. But seeing that Dr. Tiller wasn't serving in the military at the time, I don't think he should get a purple heart. ;)

Yeah, that was pretty awesome. Some of the best performances every year come out when the contestants take a well-known song and turn the arrangement completely on end and take it in a new direction. David Cook was a near-master at that last year.

The performances should markedly improve starting next week. There's quite the talent range in the top 36, and the 9 they've picked so far really are some of the best singers. Looking forward to see who makes it tonight out of the wild card round.

I wasn't paying enough attention during the auditions and Hollywood Week, so I don't remember what he was like earlier in his run. He had to be pretty good to get this far... but I don't think he earned his way into the top 12 tonight.
