In 1990, small-town NH, realizing I had same-sex attraction felt like a death sentence. I was not raised in the church. But oh, how I wish someone told me I had options other than to embrace my homosexual desires (which is what I was told was the only option). It would have saved me much pain, brokenness, and heartache.

Re: Video: An Open Letter to the Boys (Now Men) Who Sexually Abused Me

Mary, the video says it's private, so I could not view it.

Re: Ideas on How to Deliver Extraordinary Results

I just began a new field of work and am looking for creative ways to excel and help people succeed.

Re: Westford Mommy: Race Day Nutrition--Why I Run with SaltSticks

That's great! I seem to be able to do a half marathon with just water and 1/2 a GU, but the marathon was a bust. I can't take GU's regularly because they do not sit well. I found some energy chews that are OK. But I wonder if saltsticks might help. They are not sold close by to me, but I'll keep looking into it.

Re: Westford Mommy: Getting Used to Training AGAIN + Giveaway Winner

I still want to hear how salt has been helping you with stomach issues....

Re: Boston Marathon & Tedy’s Team Update

I'm so proud of you! I heard someone say recently that turning to food for comfort or anxiety doesn't really work. I disagree. If there weren't some level of comfort there, we wouldn't do it! But the comfort is short-lived because overeating increases depression and anxiety in me in the long run. Overeating also does not help me achieve my goals, goals that will give me joy in the long run.

And I've been struggling, too, Dani. Maintenance is very hard work.

Re: Girls On The Run & Walter’s Run 5k

This 5K was sponsored by my home running club!
