As much if not more so then I do for Barak Obama's.

Palin has shown a history of being in your face, argumentative and able to get things done. Obama has shown he wants everyone to get along. Be buddy, buddy.

His message is the most bizarre piece of politics I have ever seen. Not that I disagree with his message but the base defines the president. Obama's base hardly want to be conjolers and lets all get along fanatics.

Their idea of bipartisanship is to have a cloture proof majority and just tell America what the new rules are.

13 Republican Senators.
22 Democratic Senators.

Currently there are 74 Women serving in the house and 13 in the Senate.

History of Women in the US House.

73 Women Republicans
145 Women Democrats

Governorships. History.

29 Women in 21 states plus one in Puerto Rico.

11 Republican
10 Democrats.

Currently 8 Republicans and 10 Democrats are Women governors in this nation. 18 states currently have females as governors.

There seems to be a misconception that The GOP is a good ole boy network who just hates women. The facts do not support this conclusion.

I understand that Hillary was bashed by the GOP for being Bill Clintons wife and a hated enemy. However she was equally bashed by the Democrats and the Obama crowd for the same thing. Hardly a fair comparison unless you want to conclude that Democrats believe the same thing that you assert Republicans believe.

Ill put her views up against Obama. The problem is you guys are comparing apples and oranges.

When Biden was nominated the GOP did not go ape over Biden. They just pointed out what he said about Obama and his record. Hes got a lot of record that will be defined in the next 60 days or so.

However the fact that you guys are comparing Palin to Obama is silly on your part.

It just points to the glaring weakness of YOUR candidate. Obama will begin OJT in the WHITE HOUSE. Palin will begin the OJT down the street in the executive building. Huge difference.

Comparing Obama to Palin is a losing position for the democrats. That is all Im pointing out when I seem to be defending Palin.

Im most likely not going to vote at all or will vote for Barr. However I get dumped on here quite regularly for simply pointing out the obvious that it seems no one wants to hear. My above post was an example that seems to refelct negatively on Obama therefore Bash the Neocon.

I dismantled the "executive experience" argument in another post. Leading a sparsely populated state for 18 months and being a part-time mayor of a small town does not remotely count as the sort of executive experience that prepares you for the Presidency.

Yeah I read. Dont agree and in fact you have posted your own agenda when you said its important to define Palin as quickly as possible. Your analysis of her abilities are flawed and politically motivated. Based upon facts she is way more qualified then a part time law professor who lead nothing, was appointed to nothing, wrote no papers and has accomplished NOTHING in his life except run for a lot of public offices.

The simple facts are that you guys are bashing Palin for having no experience when in fact she is more experienced and more qualified then Obama. hell I bet she could even take him in a game of one on one. Face it. Obama is about as qualified as I am to be president.

Even Biden said so...........The job of president does not lend itself very well for OJT. Obama will step into the White House and start learning how to be president. Palin will step into the VP office down the street and start learning how to be VP. A HUGE difference and one in which you guys are now returning the light on Obama's total lack of experience in comparing her to Palin who even as VP is more experienced and qualified for the presidency then is Obama.

Obama......state senator, Part Time Senator. Spent his whole life running for office.

Yeah I can see how Obama is so highly prepared for the job. I can see how his 3 years in the Senate is totally prepatory while her time as mayor and Governor is not.

Palin is far and away more qualified to lead this country then is Barak Obama.

Neither is high up on my list of best qualified but certainly when it comes to experience of RUNNING GOVERNMENT...............OBAMA has NONE.

I will repeat......Palin has been in politics longer then Obama. She has led first a city and then a state. She has tackkled corruption. She voted herself a pay cut......Halle fricken lulujah someone who WALKS THE WALK......sold Alaska's governors JET and rides the bus..............Went after the politicians in her own party.......

Palin was also elected president of the Alaska Conference of Mayors.

Palin has followed through on plans to create a new sub-cabinet group of advisers to address climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions within Alaska.

Governor Murkowski appointed Palin to the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, where she chaired the Commission from 2003 to 2004, and also served as Ethics Supervisor.[20] She resigned in protest over what she called the "lack of ethics" of fellow Republican members.

Her list of accomplishments goes on and on. She is the right choice for the GOP to tackle their own graft and corruption and it appears at least in Alaska she is not afraid of her own party and this has gotten her elected and relected many times.

The more I look at this choice the more it fills TWO and not ONE slot for what McCain wanted as a VP......... Shake things up...Palin and Lieberman. Maverick... Lieberman and Palin.

The deciding factor was she was a young, attractive, conservative WOMAN and Lieberman is still a liberal wrinkly white haired old dude.

While Palin was taking on corruption in Alaska, Barak Obama was giving a speech. While Palin was running a city and then a governor, Barak Obama was campaigning for the house and the Senate and the presidency of the US>

Steve Im sure your math is a bit confused there.

We are going to be 500 billion in the hole in 2009. We spend 10 billion a month extra for all military operations.....NOT per week. Assuming we pull completely out of Iraq next Feburary that could save us 120 billion per year. BUT 1st we are still not planning on pulling out of Afghanistan which costs us roughly about 3 billion per month maybe more since Obama and McCain both seem to want to do a John Wayne there now as well.

So by my calulations.........we are now about 420 billion in the hole. Obama wants to add about 120 billion dollars per year in new programs.

Great. He wants to tax the rich but THEN give it back to the middle class. Great.

Your numbers make about as much sense as does Obama's. We are still going to be roughly 540 billion in the hole and if the economy tanks it will be more then that.

I repeat. Where are is Obama going to get his money.

The simple truth.......HE IS NOT. ITS all lies to get elected and then he will blame it all on the republicans while both parties slap each other on the back, take secret vacations and laugh at the tax payers.

The economy is horrid. People went and bought homes for twice what they could afford and they now have lost them. Other people WHO WOULD NEVER IN THEIR LIFETIMES because of bad credit were given an opportunity to buy a home......SOMETHING THE DEMOCRATS HAVE ALWAYS PINED FOR but failed America.

A recession occurs every 5 to 8 years. This one took 6 years. Why? Because we insist on borrowing money to pay our bills.

No comparison. Edwards cheating on his cancer stricken wife. Palin taking in her daughters down syndrome baby and claiming it is hers to protect her child. Lord what an evil person.

However lets rationally discuss the downs baby. If in fact her daughter had the baby and the governor is claiming it is hers then I suspect this says more about her character then not.

As a parent I would fight pretty hard to protect ALL of my children. If her daughter had a downs syndrome child and the governor took it in that means she is true to her abortion ideals and she is willing to sacrifice quite a bit for the sake of her own child.

Its a far cry from sneaking around having an affair and paying for the affair with campaign funds. This is really no comparison even if it turns out to be true.

To me if this turns out to be true its a plus for her. Although I suspect their is nothing whatsover to this rumor.

Why the fear of a 35 hour work week. Mid day naps. Everyone has health insurance.

What is so wrong with paying 60 percent of your pay check for social services after all the rich have fled the country and we can no longer tax them. In the real world you pay 15 or 20 percent of your salary for taxes and then pay another 40 percent for health care and gasoline.

Why not just let the government pay for that. Have you been to a hospital lately? They suck. Their health care that we Americans pride ourselves in having the best is only if you can pay an extra million when you check in. Other then that the insurance company is busy telling the Doctors what they can and cant do.

One party system means no more partisan bickering. The GOP is dead. Long live the DNC. Praise be to Howard Dean.

Secondly I am absolutely convinced that anyone who has an IQ above 100 realizes that when they are being considered as the VEEP in this day and age and are asked......"Is there anything in your past history or your families past history that even remotely might be a scandal and will undoubtedly surface within days of you being announced. Is there ANYTHING there that can be used against you......US?

Im sure this would fit into anyones subjective resemblance of the question above and you know........know........that that question was asked more then once before the nomination was given.

However like I said one only has to make the accusation. Look at the Larry Sinclair thing. He booked a news room and took a lie detector test and was on the screen for 10 days before it went away.

Obama and his minions will pound her every 10 days for 2 months till she will regret being born because shes going to get 18 months worth of hate in 2 months. Sad for her, sad for us. Sad for America. And yes I have always felt Obamas pain and my only disagreement with the senator is his experience for the office and yes I believe that now Barak Obama has readjusted the bar.

Well amen to the title of his book.

Im a Reagan Democrat who came to the GOP for the promise of "Oh I fergit now what they promise." I just know they essentially lied to me.

I voted for Reagan twice and he lied. I voted for GWB the first and he was about the only one who did what he promised which was nothing. I voted for Bill Clinton twice and he got impeached but he did finally balance the budget. I voted for Gore and He lost. In 2004 I was out of the country and didnt care anymore.

This time around I tried to care. I tried to get excited and was for about 30 seconds when McCain said hed balance the budget. But that was it. I'm sure he has no intention of balancing the budget.

They are all good guys. All patriots. All Love their country. They are all dedicated public servants who want what they believe is the best for this country.

Unfortunately once they get in office they will Lie to me yet again. So this year Im in the country and I will not vote. I have lost my sense of civic duty and I no longer feel that anyone who runs for office is honest or upstanding or willing to do what they say.

My non vote is essentially NONE OF THE ABOVE.
I wont be suckered in again, but then Im old and Ive earned that right.

This is why I believe that John McCain and his staff are totally convinced that they are going to lose this election.

Think about one thing for just a second. How long has Barak Obama been swatting allegations about being Muslim or attending an Islamic school or not being born in the USA or not being a real professor or being involved with Rezko or buying an illegal house or and the list goes on and on.............

How long??? Months and months. 18 months and finally most of those have been swatted down and put to rest.

No I havent been under a rock. Hillary bashed him with it and she lost. McCain is bashing him with it and hes losing. The point Im making is that those who will not vote for Obama because of his inexperience have already decided to do so. Thus the experience thing was fully vetted for the most part during the most highly publicized primary in recent memory.

It's pathetic that people can't even tell the difference between loses and looses.

Be very careful. The minute you begin picking on someone for their spelling it sets you up for a big fall. I use their for there all the time. I have given up trying to correct myself.

Except, Biden is not a corrupt Washington insider.

Oh really. Is that why all the stories floating around about Biden funneling money to his sons law firm and voting against Asbestos legislation limiting lawsuits even though amazingly enough his sons law firm was smack dab in the middle of suing the beejesus out of everyone over asbestos.
