I absolutely agree. The other trap waitning for fiscal conservative moderates is the most robust public option saves the most money. This will twist their minds in a knot. But this is exactly what POTUS Obama has been saying all along, the path to lower budgets starts with universal comprehensive prevetive health care. A healthier nation is an efficent nation.

I case can be made that his overall philosophy of governing is based in that principle. A heathy infrastructure is an efficent nation. A healthy environment creates an efficient nation. A foreign policy based on reality not fantasy will create meaningful and sustainable relationships at reduced cost.

Love, courage, and intelligience is the efficent solution to all problems. The Wizard of Oz was right. "If I only had a brain, a heart, some courage..." or was it Jesus, "The greatest of these is Love"

My hair would be described in the Black community as 'good hair.' I was vain about my hair in elementary school. My friend and I would stand in the mirror and brush waves into our hair every Sunday after church before we went to the show, (movies).

After we discovered "Black is Beautiful", I became diligent about getting rid of the term among my friends. I would say clean and groomed hair is good hair. The summer after my senior year I did not comb my hair all summer. I washed it every day with Kirk's Castille soap. I greased the scalp with Posner’s Bergamot every night. Now that was some good hair.

I raised my kids and tried to teach their friends and cousins, good hair is clean and groomed hair.

Nobody knew the mortgage crisis was coming until it hit. The whole society participated in the game, whites, blacks, rich, poor, male, female, everybody. Some lost more than others. Tavis and Boston are not responsible because they could not see the failure coming. The banks did not loan the money because they thought the would get the house. They loaned the money for the payment. They had the same efforts for loans in non minority communities.

I am no fan of Tavis. He is a self promoter. But, he does promote positive behavior in the community. S___ happens

When I was in the 8th grade my uncle took me to his other wife's house to deliver some pigs. I did not know who she was. About five years later the truth came out. I told my mother, it was her brother; I had been to the house. She was surprised. But not shocked. She had always let me go anywhere with my uncles. We went to juke joints and small businesses. I loved it. I was in the world of men. I allowed my sons the same traveling privileges with uncles and adult cousins.

M family was raised to be fathers, and I never went anywhere dangerous to my spirit.

Can't site case law, but I know there is a child in Chicago whose mother is an undocumented alien, but he is a cirtizen. It was a big story in the Chicago papers.

I came to this article in an attempt to undersatnd the situation with Paaxico Burress. it is clear from this article thet illegal guns are a very serious issue in New York City. I hope Mr. Burress receives some mercy, but I understnad now the straight forwrad approach of the prosecutors. Burress is not in West Virginia or Michigan, where the culture was very different.

It is a lie because European countries have the same new stuff we have for less. Canada has the same health care technolygy we have with signifivantly lower cost per capita.

Of course the 21st century is better than the 1950s, but US (16.0% gdp, infant mortality 6.9, life expectancy 77.8) health care is not better or less expensive than Japan, Canada, France, Great Britain, Sweden, (8.5-11.1 % gdp, infant mortality 2.8 - 5.4, life expectancy 79.1-80.1 )

All of the above governmenat pay above 67% of the costs, which is still a smaller % of government budget (13.6 -17.7) than US (18.8%).

Good. If the insurance companies can not provide better financing options the the US Government they shoud go out of business. I suggest to you their profits will decrease and they will work together like, FedEx, UPS and USPS.

Yoy realize of course they share transportation resources and are based on a government provided and developed back bone, USPS national addresses USPS Zipcodes.

Most states drivers license requirements are similar. State gun laws are vastly different. Some states require justification of need for a permit. Why is it necessary? What injustice occurs because carry permits are state only?

What do they believe will happen to the cost of we keep the status quo? besides believing it will go up is not the same asnot wanting it. People but things everyday that will increse the cot of housing and transportation. Why? Because they believe the new home or car will improve their life.

Everything has cost, but not everything has value. People who talk about cost without discussing benefits are afraid of change.

Can you do anything besides cut and paste? This article says absolutely nothing about the benefits or costs of real health care reform. She simply assigns motives to the proponents and argues against the motives.

This writing is unthoughtful and dishonest. She apparently is unconcerned with the health effects of obesity on others. She writes as if she is protecting the obese, but the truth is she believes they are weak and deserve their condition. This is the belief of the libertarian; let’s have a dog fight because I can win. I am smarter, richer, and thinner. Her second point seems to be that health care workers want to kill old people, especially the workers focused on public health.

Her article has nothing to do with the health care reform debate. It is about her ability to know the motives of others.
