Did you denounce it? Did you tell them how crass it was and that they were wrong to show it? NO YOU DID NOT! I believe in civility, but you are now laying hate on those who have legitimate questions about bills that aren't even bills yet. Ask Pres. Obama to show you the Health care plan he submitted to Congress. Ask Harry Reid, Udall, Bingamen to show the Senate Health care plan so we can read it. Doesn't exist yet...but we're supposed to support it. HR 3200 does contain items that some leaders say isn't in it. That is because these "leaders" wouldn't take the time to read it. The Southern Poverty Law Center depends on controversy to continue. They would never taint their "news releases" would they?

But I will say this...Nazis were cruel and vicious. I condemn anyone using the Nazis as example of current plans. Disagree, argue, present reasonable thought out arguments. I disagree with Obama, I do not hate him. Nor do I want these symbols of horror applied toward him. Now if you would be so kind as to condemn the actions of the left toward Bush in years past, perhaps we could discuss health care!

Perhaps all should read Leonard Pitts excellent article on this same subject:

http://www.miamiherald.com/living/columnists/le...

Re: Val Kilmer getting no love from veterans

Val Kilmer is a typical Hollywood elitist who looks down on others as beneath him and only he knows what we bumpkins should acknowledge as his superior intellect to lead and guide us to the promised land. Phooey on this arrogant, selfish, inconsiderate lout who has probably never descended from Mt Olympus to meagle with the masses. Golly gee Val, NM doesn't have a Neimann Marcus for you to shop at. Let's see how much Val cares about the community; how many times have you voted in NM Val? Holy Pork Rinds Val, give us a break!

Re: Real debate replaced with a cheesy dodge

Why does it take so long and such a bureaucratic maze to follow for reduced price or free lunches? Guidelines for eligibility should be set up. Each school could look at the criteria and decide in one to two days who is eligible for the benefits. All politics are local and this should be decided at the school level.

As far as the type of sandwich, there should be a choice...some are lactose intolerant, some are allegic to peanut butter.

Re: N.M. It was announced on Joe Monahan's blog last week, on KSFR FM I believe on Friday, KQFM AM on Saturday morning and on KRQE TV Sunday Night. Emails distributed information about this last week. NM Rep Janice Arnold-Jones, District 24, took her laptop and webcam to the committee and went live for the duration of the meeting. She demonstrated that a low tech and low cost approach could be used. This was a first and she should be applauded for breaking the ice. Allen Weh knows that the proper thing to do is to "fall on his sword" and resign. It is time for cleaning out the loosing strategies of the last few years and get unknown people to be the leadership models. Nationally, as far as the National Repubs are concerned, a pox on there house...let these rats leave.

Re: The problem with hate speech

Already the Secret Service has show that the comment "kiil him" wasn't used. The Secret Service has found no evidence of this. Of course comparing McCain/Palin to the people that firebombed the church in Birmingham isn't hate speech accounding to Price. Isn't it funny that if you disagree with Obama, you're a racist (see the complaint about the motel in Prince Georges County that displayed a McCain/Palin sign saying that it is racism to display a sign like that in a wealthy ethic neighborhood.) What about the 12 year old Florida girl who was called a racist for not backing Obama and instead backing McCain/Palin. You are correct T_J, Price will not drop the partisanship and try to correct the "hatred" show on BOTH sides. How sad.

Re: Do the right thing, Democrats

Thanks for the clarification. Thanks for that clarification! Now, what was that supposed to add to the discussion of Republican racism in New Mexico? That was the "main issue" I think.

Oh, and did you hear: Foley is not a state representative, he's an ex-state representative?

Re: Do the right thing, Democrats

I seldom agree with Foley, but I commented on this issue in this newsletter several days ago. All the bluster that Jeeter (Tobacco Road) uses just obscures the comments Garcia used. She and C de Baca are about the same age. All I see is people like Jeeter obscuring the discussion with ranting and raving while not addressing the main issue. By the way Garcia is a state senator. Foley is a state representative. Wrong side of the house Jeeter. Oh well Jeeter "One of these days" (Tobacco Road).

Re: Calls for C. de Baca’s resignation grow louder

Mary Jane Garcia, NM State Senator (D) was quoted in the Rocky Mountain News August 04, 2008,

“I don’t know one single Hispanic over 50 who will cast a vote for Obama,” Garcia, who is in her 70s, was quoted as saying. She added that “there have always been conflicts between blacks and browns” and she believes Obama has come off as being condescending and arrogant.

Are you as disgusted by her comments as C de Baca' comments. I find her comments offensive.
