The ones made outside the game itself can be used in the tribal, civilization, or space phases. You can also use them in the creature phase if you use the Ctrl+shift+C cheat "evoadvantage". The creatures in the trial version will also populate your games that you play in the full version randomly.

Re: Spore Daily Challenge #4: Red vs Blue

I made the Red vs Blue sporecast for the contest, I didn't see a way to comment on sporecasts, so I am not sure if anyone is going to want to make spaced up versions of the creations or not. I guess I never uploaded my Azure ascendant in his space garb, but if I get around to it I will likely add him too.

Its titled "Red vs Blue" I don't know of a way to linke a sporecast, I tried for a couple minutes but I have to get going, you should be able to find it looking at my profile though.

Re: Spore Daily Challenge #4: Red vs Blue

Yeah, I should have done that, I found a couple of the creatures in different games and the Z'Eleron with my Azure Ascendants, though they were in civ phase and that is of course the neutral party.

Re: New Sporepedia now available

I have killed three epics, The first was in creature stage one of my first few runs through. I had befriended one of the rogue creatues (250hp ones) and encountered them at my nest and had a full posse. There were at least 8 creatures beating on it and it never had the chance to attack, though it was still a long fight I think we were just hitting it so much that it was being stunned or something. The second time I did it in tribal, and with heavy losses as it still kills in one hit we were able tobring it down, though I lost 2/3 of my tribe. The final time I just died repeatedly at my nest because it was there and eventually it ran out of health, not fun at all. In the end the costs outweight the benefits, as even with 3 of the 250hp posse members they will get killed fairly fast in an open battle and there isn't much reward for killing them other than the one time achievement.

Re: Spore Daily Challenge #4: Red vs Blue

Back to this, I set up My Azure Ascendants in their space digs, I will set up my Rebels at a later time, perhaps I will find some of these allies or foes with this game.

Re: Spore Daily Competition Winners!

Hmm, sure is quiet in here, congratulations to all the winners and entrants.

Re: New Sporepedia now available

I forgot about the GreaseMonky part, are they both the same though? I can't tell what they are supposed to be, paper maybe. They allow you to drag them to your desktop, and probably to the creators.

You are able to rearrange the windows on your personal profile except the main one with your tagline and the avatar on it.

Not sure if I have noticed anything else that is there doing, I have been using the firefox plugin sporescope which shows some extra information about creatures and adds a few other neat things, it can be found here http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/31126 some of the information isn't the most accurate, but I guess the stuff that is off can't be helped, but it does let you know the general size of creatures and a little more detailed idea of the exact rating, plus a few other things.

Re: Spore Daily Competition Is Now Closed!

Thanks for the review first of all.

I haven't had a chance to play yet, but I was getting disappointed when I have recently heard them talking about how short some stages are because they want people to be able to take a species to space quickly. I think they should have allowed cheats or something to leave a stage early if that was what you wanted to do instead of making it short and allowing you to loiter there after you are able to move on.

It might be interesting to see how long the stages are in the various difficulties, I am sure it will alter the experience but I don't see it extending them much. If you are able to alter the difficulties at the start of each stage it could be nice so that you can get the most out of each stage for entertainment.

Re: Spore Daily Competition Is Now Closed!

I'm not too sure that any stores will. My friend who works at blockbuster couldn't get Mercenaries II early even though they had it at the store he works at because there is apparently a $5,000 fine for breaking the embargo and letting it out early. My hope is that EA, who I ordered from, will send the game out soon because it won't arrive before until the 7th which has happened with other games before.

Re: Spore Daily Competition Is Now Closed!

Have some fun playing your copy of spore too, I saw your creature for a little while that it appears you have been running through the creature stage. Upon looking at it again I did notice that all my previous saved creatures reappeared, I am used to that happening because I have had it happen before when I had to retrieve lost creatures that went missing from my game. Especially after a little experience with it, you can throw something passable together in under 5 minutes. Sometimes I will do that and then just start tweaking it and making changes and come out with something that I really like.

Re: Spore Daily Challenge #6: All the better to see you with…

Eymach

http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=ast-5000073...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmmtZyKcZQY

Originally I tried to put the eyes behind the claws on the hands but they were too unstable and the clipping of the lids looked bad, and when I tried to shrink them down they didn't stick out far enough. Its sort of the same thing that happens with a lot of eight legged creatures such as the crystal spider.

Re: Spore Daily Challenge #6: All the better to see you with…

Elder Wolf

http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=ast-5000073...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1kb_htVCqQ

A bit of a joke on the theme, well maybe a obvious one, and not very good.
