I know, that's why I love Poas, it's one of those safe but amazing places to see in Costa Rica.

There are tons of them. In Guatemala you can actually hike up to the top of an active one. it's really creepy, but incredible at the same time. It feels like you're in space. This one is great because you don't have to hike too far.

my husband does rappelling as well, although he's into everything: bouldering, red pointing, etc... sometimes it looks more fun to watch:)

The funny thing is, my son with the other kids were running from house to house also yelling Halloween, Halloween at first, the whole Halloween tradition is kind of trickled down here to the foreigners compromised version.
And you're so right about the kids teeth intact. I remember my brother getting a pillow case full of candy and he literally ATE IT ALL IN ON NIGHT!!! then he was so sick, of course, that the whole expereince barely wore off until the next halloween:)

The museum was actually a prison first, it's amazing what they did to it! It is one of my favorite places to visit:)

My favorite book is the Notebook, i've read it a ton of times and every time I read it I fall more in love with my husband! So he loves that too.

I hear ya about the relaxing. My little man loves to relax on top of my head. However, I have to say with all the fun stuff there is to do here, the kids miracolously leave you alone:)
