She is all ambition and no brains or ethics.

Re: In Debate, McCain Goofs on Palin Points

I've been watching election coverage pretty intently since the Iowa primaries, and I know that Trig has Down Syndrome but I knew nothing about Sarah's sister having an autistic child. To me it looked like McCain thought Trig had autism, so that made McCain look very addled. I used to like McCain a lot, but he's just looked too darn old this time. And angry. And then of course there is his Palin problem.

Re: Palin and Folksiness

I wondered if the folksiness was totally put on and went looking for older youtube videos of Sarah, from back before she was named to the ticket.

Sure enough, I found an earlier interview with Charlie Rose, and some Alaska debates, and while she had that accent and dropped her g's, she didn't do the winks, and all the Joe Sixpack, hockey mom, middle class references.

She's obviously pandering now.

Re: McCain Advisor: Fey’s SNL Spoof of Palin Was ‘Sexist’

But Sarah Palin *is* totally superficial....

Re: The Torch Is Passed

What has Sarah's so-called experience taught her? The woman is still as dumb as a moose.

Re: The Torch Is Passed

In Sarah's world it's okay to be foggy on the facts, to not show any interest in history, to not be able to id any newspapers you read, to not be able to recall any Supreme Court cases you disagree with (not even Exxon Valdez), to not grasp what a VP does, to have so little interest in the outside world that you don't get a passport until 2007, and to not even blink tho you surely know you have no business serving as VP. With the right spin, that just proves you are a Washington Outsider!

That's not a new breed of woman, but a very poor failure to vet by McCain.

Re: Palin Now a Supreme Court Scholar

Sally Canzoneri is spot on. None of the cases turned on a state's rights issue.

Palin's remarks demonstrate her utter failure to grasp the legal basis of these cases. And, this after she had several days to prep her answer.

Palin is totally clueless about our US Consititution (also demonstrated by her answer to Gwen Ifill's question about the VP's role) and it would be so dangerous to put her into this high office.
