After they screwed up with Nikki and Paulo, they learned their lesson. Pretty much all the characters that were introduced from that point were good additions. Besides let's be serious guys, it's not like we know all off Widmore's bunch.

Who knows Matthew Abaddon's associates either? New characters will be introduced for the show to go on, it's just a question of how they will be introduced and how excellent they fit their roles.

I know this is an ancient topic, but I am hoping you guys still drop by from time to time...

I usually watch each Lost episode 4-5 times until the next episode is aired. That gives me enough time to absorb all the details in the episode. But when I watched this Finale a few months ago, I was so upset. John is my favorite character on any TV show.ever. Seeing him dead in the coffin made me speechless. I really had no idea how and what to feel. I decided to stop watching Lost altogether and just pretend the show was terminated. So I get to remember the amazing show Lost used to be before this shocking moment. Recently I started reading some sites and interviews with the creators of Lost, turns out Locke and Jin will STILL appear in Season 5. As "Death" on the island isn't the same as the "Death" we all know and hate. That restored my faith a bit.

Now I have the urge to watch the show to find some answers to these questions:

Who killed John?
Why did they kill John?
How did he die?

People keep saying that Locke died because the island was done with him. But I am not so sure about that statement. Keep in mind that John told the Oceanic 6 that "Bad things started happening" after they left. What if the Island / Jacob lost control of their power? What if the Island can't protect or change things outside anymore? And I thought of something else that made more sense...

What if Locke dying IS the way for him to serve his purpose. Locke's death had a very huge impact on Jack and it is pushing him to get back to the Island. So maybe John being allowed to die will be reveresed when John gets back to the Island?

This may have been mentioned somewhere, but uhhh, what happened to Desmond's visions? He told Charlie that he had to die for Claire to get on a helicopter and be rescued. The season ended, some of the Losties got on a helicopter and got off the Island. Claire was stuck in Jacob's cabin all drugged like... Did I miss something? Whatever happened to that? Charlie just died in vain?

But what surprised me the most is.. How come there was no character for Mel Gibson? He's a real good candidate in most of his roles :( Think about it..

Or was there one and I missed it at the early stages? I only caught up with this competition when someone mentioned it on a Lost recap blog. (About Ben being a good candidate for The Ultimate Badass).

On a side note, I've been waiting for a season 4 Locke centric since season 3 finale. I wanted Locke's flash forward, to see what becomes of him. Anyone noticed that we didn't get a single Locke flashforward x_x ?

Richard's items-
When the young Locke picked the sand, there was no change in Richard's expressions. The same with the compass. But when he started looking at the "Book of Laws", he had this happy expression in his eyes and on his face, as if he was saying "Yes, that's it, pick it up". But once he switched his eyes to the Knife and Comic Book, he was shocked and disappointed. I think he was supposed to pick either the Sand (From the Island) or the book.. The book that states the "rules" Ben has been mentioning in previous episodes.

I also find it weird that the Island doesn't want Michael dead yet.. He is the only one able to fix the boat. Without him, the Losties wouldn't be able to get home, at least not through the boat.

Ben is losing his faith and doubting the Island's power. Anyone thinks it's a coincidence that Ben got sick a couple of days before Oceanic 815 crashed on the Island? Or was the Island setting things in motion...? Get Ben sick, he'll want someone to fix him. Oh wow look, a spinal surgeon on the flight, Ben will try to save himself and grab the doctor to fix him. These events will lead Locke to the Cabin, and his commetment will be tested. John has been shown signs no one else have seen from his first day on the Island. Signs strong enough to make him realize that this place is special from day 1.

But why is Hurley special and can see the Cabin? What about Claire? I believe she and Jack are on the same level of faith. They both aren't supersticious and believe in nothing such as fate, god or the Island.

What's with the sudden change of the ship's captain? When Desmond and Saiyd first got on the freighter, he was behaving EXACTLY like Keamy is right now. Even Lapidus was so scared of him and telling Saiyd and Desmond they don't want to talk to him or meet him. Yet now he is very eager to help Saiyd and Desmond. Suddenly all kind and helpful... Weird.

And the time difference between the outside world and the Island is getting crazy by the minute O_o Why do I think it is crazy? Well for one... The helicopter took off at night, and reached the Island at night. The doctor was killed before the helipcopter took off by 2 minutes, and the body reached the Island 2 days or so before the helicopter? However when Saiyd and Desmond took off from the Island, going to the freighter, how long did it take them to get there?

I recognized Abaddon from the moment he grabbed the Wheelchair. That bald head is very unique xD Richard knew Locke was unique since he was a child, but how? How did Abaddon know Locke was unique though? He was talking to Locke as if he knew John was going to end up on the Island, and he'd survive. Yet when he was talking to Naomi, he kept saying that every single one who was on Oceanic 815 is dead.. Now, another question bugging me. Abaddon works for Widmore obviously (Since he put the team together, and the freighter belongs to Widmore).. Why didn't Abaddon or other people working for Widmore board Oceanic 815?

Apparently, Claire was told a LOT of things by Christian that made her in this state.. Everyone knows how INSANE Claire without Aaron. But to be so CALM at the Cabin and not giving a flying c*** about Aaron? That's one of the things I didn't expect to see ever. I thought the only reason Kate had Aaron was because Claire is dead X_x

Ohhh boy.. It's getting better and worse. Better because of how insane it's getting, and worse because we are getting close to the season's finale. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh life will be so hard without Lost all these months ;________;

Good episode, not as great as last week's (I think it's the lack of Ben, Saiyd, Desmond or Locke. They spice up Lost pretty good, notice how the best episodes always have one of those?)

A lot of answers for questions we had for a while from the start of the season and season 3 finale. But the thing that caught my attention the most...

Fire alarm (smoke detection) + Christian (Jack's dead father) = Smokey... anyone? I think there is a link between the Smoke monster and the dead people that appear on or off the island. The fire alarm beeping all of a sudden with no smoke around makes no sense.. lol who am I kidding, this is Lost xD

Very very very crazy/amazing/impressive episode X_____X All this wait was totallllllllllllly worth it. Back on track:

My theory checked about who shot Karl and Rousseau >_> *demands rewards and candy*

Things I thought of about this episode:

The smoke monster usually kills people on sight when it "has the intent" to kill them. We saw what it did to Eko. We saw what it did to the soldiers. Also keep in mind it can take 6 armed soldiers on at once with no problem. All these facts to support this theory:

Ben does have a certain amount of control over the smoke monster. How? Remember during Season 1 when Jack, Locke, Kate, Hugo and Arzt went to the Black Rock to get Dynamite? Locke got grabbed by the Smoke monster and it was dragging him into a "hole". I believe Ben wanted to meet or talk to Locke. That's why he didn't want to have him killed, therefore the smoke monster didn't kill him. Even though he was perfectly capable of killing him.

Also, remember when Michael and Kate were installing the signal thingies for Saiyd during season 1? When they thought Locke was dead because the monster was heading in his direction? Again.. nothing happened to Locke.

Ben clearly stated Locke's importance in this episode. But I still don't get why would Ben shoot Locke if he was this important.. I guess he is running out of allies and understands how serious is Locke about protecting the Island after throwing a knife in Naomi's back.

Back to the topic: I believe the Smoke monster was dragging Locke into the hole and throwing him into the same ruins Ben went into to unleash it on the soldiers... When that attempt failed, Ben decided to take matters into his own hands and go see Locke personally, by falling into Rousseau's trap on purpose. Crazy, but who knows?

As for the rules.. Apparently Ben and Charles agreed to use any means to get the island except killing family members? Also, if Ben can't kill Charles, and Charles can't kill Ben, does this mean the Island is protecting both of them?

I am starting to believe the Island wants Charles to be the master of the Island.. Why would Ben suddenly get a tumor (which Jack removed)? But then again, why is the Island giving such a hard time to Charles' men?

Ugh I need more Lost T___________T
