Notre Dame is an in-state school, so putting Luke Harangody on the list was a bad choice. You should've added Josh McRoberts (Duke), Rodney Carney(Memphis) and, Justin Cage ( Western KY) instead.

If this is big news for IU basketball, then it shows how far we have dropped from national prominence. We have a long way to go and I hope we can turn it aroung sooner than later because I cannot put up with over 20 losses again.

Jones is probably the worse point guard that has put on an IU uniform. He has no basketball instints, turnover prone and he is a terrible shooter, and top of that he doesn't use his 6'4 height to his advantage.

It cannot get any worse than this! How painful to watch. I am just so disgusted in how bad our players are and how IU's program had reached the lowest of lows. I don't even think Purdue and UK fans are so happy. It comes to a point when you want your rivals to be at least a basketball team.

I hope all the players and Tom Crean will never forget how embarassing and painful this season was. I wouldn't wish this upon anyone.

I agree. Jones just doesn't have a point guard savy and toughness. He needs to improve during the course of this season and the rest of the off season, if he wants to play. I don't see him playing next year. Hopefully, he can turn his play around.

I think Devon Dumes could be that go-to-guy. He just needs to have a little more confidence that will come whenever he gets a break out game in the Big Ten.

One of the articles states that Adam Ahfeld was not involved with drugs, so your statement is not true. He said that he knew about the team doing drugs.

This is where the coaching staff is taking something of a gamble. It's been common practice for coaches to offer an extra scholarship or go over one in which they don't have. That's when the coaches are betting someone already on the team will transfer next season. Most likely players will transfer after a coaches first year. If no one transfers, that's when the coach will ask an incoming player or a returning player that it's better for them to transfer. That's a gamble coaches make.

I forgot to count my wife,so that makes it 24 cans. I'm not really upset about the increase because I will be able to provide. It's just the fact that I have to start thinking about how the economy is effecting everyone, and this is possibly the only chance for families to see the Hoosiers this year in person due to not having money. You can still be a diehart fan and not have any money. Even people in need would like to have the opportunity too.

Not really. I just made the comment that now I have to bring not just three canned goods but a total of 24 cans, which makes it kind of difficult for a large family to watch the Hoosiers when they're on a really tight budget that's not counting gas prices.

I can understand about the early start time though.

I agree with Alex about having to watch volleyball before seeing the Men's and women's team hit the floor and I like volleyball. It's call Hoosier Hysteria- the last time I check that the State of Indiana is known for basketball from high school to the pro game. The history of Indiana University and Indiana sports is all about basketball.

We now have to give away three cans- it used to be two. The cost of inflation. That's alot of cans for an entire family of seven who wants to attend the event.

Finally, Midnight Madness is no longer the same since the teams finished way before Midnight last year. I liked it when it was the old Midnight Madness in which you waited until 12am to watch the teams.

The Colts look like they were still playing in the pre-season. They did not have much motivation and preparation going into the game. From Dungy and the players, they looked very lousy.

This is very encouraging indeed. I stated this earlier in the hiring of Roshown McLeod will only bring good things to the IU program. Tom Crean made a home run hire with McLeod now it is starting to pay big.

If Cheek makes a commitment, this will help relieve the pain of last season's debacle.

Even though Calbert Cheaney was a great IU and college basketball player, he could have done more. I still think that Cheaney did not reach his full potiential as an overall player. He should have been one of the best that ever played this game.

There is a strong case in his NBA career- which he should have been a superstar and rank up there as one of the best stars that came out of IU such Isiah Thomas. I believe Cheaney play hard and played to win but he did not have that assassin mentality.

Brain Sloan did most of the screens for Jay Edwards. Steve Eyl, Todd Meir, Darryl Thomas, Joe Hillman etc.. did alot of screening for Steve Alford.

This contract gives Ton Crean even more pressure to win big and win now. I believe that IU's administration believes that IU will suffer these next two seasons, so this will let Crean know that IU will support him through the tough years and this will help relieve the doubts of future recruits coming to IU.

If only IU can get a great center like Walt Bellamy to come play. Just think of all the great centers and forwards that came out of Indiana and went to play elsewhere.

Shawn Kemp- committed to UK then went to JC in TX but never played a college game.

This is just several of many that could have helped IU win more championships.

Can anybody name more big men that left the state?
