There is an episode of the British Sci-Fi sitcom "Red Dwarf" where, in the future, bubble wrap (or, as they say in Great Britian, "Packing Paper") is no longer used for packing at all, but sold in 1-foot squares, painted red, and called "tension sheets". Bubble wrap as therapy! It's the next inevitable phase.

Disney and MGM have at least one agreement:

"In 1985, Disney and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer entered into a licensing contract that gave Disney worldwide rights to use the MGM name and logo for a yet-to-be-built backlot studio theme park." -Wikipedia

So it stands to reason they have some branding crossover agreements here or there.

The Colbert and Daily Show programmer problems exist with TiVO as well . . . I just let it record them and delete the "rerun" episodes as they build up every few days. Simpler than the VCR-type recording -- with TiVO, anyway ...

Not being sure which pharmaceutical companies are working on which cure, I still have to wonder if someone's done a cost analysis . . . this would cost $100 a pill and cure colds, but few people would be able to buy it -- meanwhile, our cold SYMPTOM treaters (dayquil, contac, theraflu, etc) are big money makers and cheaper to produce.

Or am I being paranoid?

Even funnier when you realize that the Beatles had virtually nothing to do with the film, save the music and the live-action bit at the end.

During my tenure in the same position the ONLY flak I got was from Administration. During an airing of "Dead Poets Society" they made the projectionist hold up a piece of paper in front of the lens during a brief glimpse of a playboy centerfold, but completely missed the far more dangerous (to them) message of rebellion against authority.

And "Time Bandits" got shot down with two words I will carry with me to my grave: "medieval mysticism".

People who get outraged based on FICTIONAL TELEVISION CHARACTERS? Higher than the previous number, I am also willing to guess.

The episode that is, in its entirety, a "reality show" format about Herb's family.

The episode where the station gets robbed.

The episode where Venus is caught as a Vietnam deserter.

And, timely enough if you can find it, the episode that uses the standard "Christmas Carol" plot.

I won't go on, but anyone who actually watched and loved the show will have no problem going beyond that one episdode.
