They're not going to just walk in."

http://www.engadget.com/2006/11/21/palms-ed-col...

They did walk right in. And right over his and his friends backsides. And now Motorola tries to hack off its dying mobile arm in a desperate attempt to save itself.

The iPhone isn't bombing over here incidentally, it's just too expensive on O2 and inconveniently lacking in the 3G buzzword stakes; which are a few years later in progress this side of the pond. iPhone rev B should set that straight, and its on to a healthy high end dominance after that at my guess. The web stats expose the fact that the iPhone has captured its early adopter users much more strongly than anything else on the market.

Now back to debating Anno Hideaki vs. Steve Jobs for me…

Re: Motorola to split into two companies: One that sucks, another that sucks even more

Microsoft have learned and struggled for a few years figuring out how to make a decent PC. Phone guys like Apple are not going to just figure this out. They’re not going to just walk in.

Re: The Dalai Lama is bugging the shit out of me lately, begging me to help him.

So that's what Heidi was on about with "Blowing You Off at Eight." Thanks for making sense of that.

http://valleywag.com/tech/bad-ideas/heidi-roize...

Re: Ballmer: I'm completely out of ideas

All time classic piece in my opinion, FSJ. It's this kind of big vision stuff I come back for. You nailed the image just as sweetly as MS and Y! are about to find they do each other…

Liked the RDM-style opening too.

Re: Ja'Red is in a detox facility

Poor Ja'Red, I never realised we were so alike.

Re: CES -- first impressions

If there's one thing CES has always called out for, it's the ghost of Hunter S. Loving every twisted metaphor, you Obama of the hoary blogs.
